Deepal gets 5 new dealer-partners in PH

MANILA: Deepal Philippines is bolstering its reach in the country as five new dealer partners have joined its network, with four more expected to join in the coming months.

The recently-forged collaborations bring the Changan-owned electric vehicle firm closer to customers more areas in Metro Manila while establishing presence in Central and Southern Luzon, as well as Mindanao.

They are particularly situated in Commonwealth, Quezon City; Plaridel, Bulacan; Sumulong Highway, Rizal; Calamba, Laguna; and Davao.

Dealer partners, locations

Signing up for Deepal Commonwealth under ARK Diversified and Automotors Group Incorporated while Voltura Motor OPC will manage the Plaridel dealership.

Deepal Cainta will take charge of the MGM Motor Trading Incorporated, while Laguna Zoomhub Incorporated will operate the dealership in Calamba, Laguna. 

Finally, MGM Mindanao Motors Incorporated will manage Deepal Davao.

Relatedly, Deepal dealerships in the following locations are expected to formally be part of the network in the coming months:

• Manila Bay, Parañaque City
• Alabang, Muntinlupa City
• Pampanga
• Cebu

In a statement, Deepal Philippines—which is currently under the Autohub Group—noted that the network growth is driven by the “growing network of partners who share Deepal’s vision for the future of mobility.”

Company president Willy Tee Ten said that the latest partnerships mark an important step in building a stronger presence for the brand across the country.

“We are bringing together partners who understand their respective markets and share our commitment to creating a strong customer experience,” he  

Supporting the growth at the regional level were Changan Auto Southeast Asia Managing Director Deng Zhitao and Vice General Manager Zhou Qing.

“The Philippines is an important market for Changan and Deepal, and we see strong potential for new-energy mobility here. Building the right local partnerships gives us a solid foundation to grow with the market while ensuring that customers receive the level of support and service they expect,” Qing said.

Deepal PH lineup

Currently, Deepal has a two-model stable in the Philippines made up of th S05 and G318.

 The S05 crossover is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, a 27.28-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, and a direct-current (DC) fast-charging port. 

This vehicle can deliver:

On the other hand, the Deepal G318 full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and a 35.07 kWh battery which can do:

Notably, the offers a 600-millimeter (mm) wading capacity, 210-mm ground clearance, locking differentials, and multiple terrain modes.
