Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) confirmed that the eVitara units sold in the country are not affected by the integrated display system (IDS) issue. SPH clarified that any potential issues involving the local batch of vehicles were already addressed prior to their arrival in the Philippines, so owners do not need to worry about a recall.
  • How are the Suzuki eVitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser related?

The Suzuki eVitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser are twin electric vehicle models co-developed and produced by Suzuki’s manufacturing arm in India.
  • The Japanese automaker’s local distributor gave the assurance after Zigwheels Philippines reached out for clarification following Toyota Motor Philippines’ recall of the eVitara’s twin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser.

“The Suzuki eVitara units being sold in the Philippines are not affected by the issue with the integrated display system. Any similar concerns involving the batch of units being retailed in the country, should they have arisen prior to their arrival in the Philippines, have already been addressed,” SPH told Zigwheels Philippines.

“Customers need not be concerned about the possibility of a recall affecting the aforementioned batch of units,” it added.
