Yamaha PH continue to sharpen grassroots motorsports with YGP

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated (YMPH) continue to hone local talents with the Yamaha Grand Prix (YGP). 

Concluding a successful Round 3 at the Tarlac Circuit Hill, the local wing of the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer delivered another action-packed weekend, gathering rising talents, seasoned local racers, and partner dealerships. 

Per YMPH, event showed how Yamaha continues to empower riders to defy limits on the track, setting a solid stage where the next generation of Filipino racers can push their potential through real, high-level competition.

Done, dusted 

Building momentum from Saturday’s fierce qualifying sessions to Sunday’s intense race proper, Round 3 put five dynamic racing categories on full display: the YZF-R15M Dealer Cup Race, Sniper 155 GP Invitational, Sniper 155 Intermediate, YZF-R15M BLU CRU Junior Cup, and the Aerox SP R&D (Research and Development) Sprint Cup. 

According to YMPH, the YZF-R15M Dealer Cup Race category once again featured seamless teamwork between dealer entries and their drafted BLU CRU partners. 

For MotorAce, the dealer fielded Joharry Suba alongside Myron Delos Santos; while New Nemar was represented by Joshua Kyle Andres and, the only female rider in the roster, Asia Milan. 

On the other hand, Guanzon paired Knox Pantaleon with Joaquin Geronimo; while JOVAS raced with Rand Bergania alongside, the youngest in the team, Anderson Debnam. 

Lastlly, CDO 2 Cycles Marketing Corporation completed its competitive lineup with Gab Serevo and Ezra Samson. 

The partner dealers and sponsors showed up to back their riders, proving their dedication to support their young riders. 

Further, the Aerox SP R&D Sprint Cup gave fans exciting, fast-paced action as one of the newest categories in the series. It gave riders and mechanics a chance to test the Aerox under real race conditions, opening up new possibilities for automatic motorcycles on the racing scene. 

The underbone races were just as exciting, with the Sniper 155 Limited GP Invitational and Sniper 155 Limited Intermediate taking full advantage of the tricky corners at Tarlac Circuit Hill. 

Finally, the YZF-R15M BLU CRU Junior Cup had even more on the line this weekend. While young riders pushed to gain experience for bigger races, everyone was waiting to see who would get the chance to join Philippine representatives Zain Doblada and Moses Reyes in Thailand. 

“After a year of racing and collecting points from YGP 2025 all the way to Round 3 Race 2, the results are in. Taking the top two spots on the leaderboard were Knox Pantaleon and Myron Delos Santos, officially earning their tickets to race at the Yamaha bLU cRU R3 Asia-Pacific Championship this November 2026,” YMPH wrote in a press release. 

“With another successful round completed, Yamaha Grand Prix continues to give Filipino riders an accessible, competitive path to develop their skills and step onto international grids. Yamaha Motor Philippines remains committed to working with its dealer network to build a strong future for local motorsports,” it added.
