3 Reasons why Mitsubishi Adventure is a value for money MPV
The Mitsubishi Adventure is one of the big guns in the vicinity of Philippines. Not that it is an outright powerful and attractive car, but because it ticks the right boxes in the right way. The Adventure nameplate was first introduced way back in 1997 taking some similar design cues from the second generation Pajero.
Even back then, the Mitsubishi Adventure was described as being boxy yet high in utility, something that persists even today. And yet, the capabilities and popularities of the UV could never be questioned as it raced to 100,000 sold units in 2014 and gained a spot in the bestselling cars in the Philippines in 2017.
If we are not very wrong, there are many things that you will love about the UV. Here, we are putting down the top three reasons why this Mitsubishi Adventure is considered to a value for money UV.
High Utility Quotient
The Mitsubishi Adventure has always been on the top slot owing to the utility it offers. Right from the days of its initial launch, the UV was known for its excessive passenger accommodation and cargo space. Moreover, many people find the newer front-facing third-row bench to be more useful and comfortable, though it could accommodate just two passengers. But if you choose the side-facing rear benches, four people can easily fit in. However, the off angle of the D-pillar would make the passenger a bit uncomfortable on long drives.
Simplistic Interior
Though upon entering the cabin of the Mitsubishi Adventure, many people would not be very fascinated by the simplicity, the number of features that are on offer are quite enough for the price.
Laminated green windscreen, manual central locking, and internally adjustable ORVMs are standard features in all the four trims. However, there are some optional features as well, which include leather seats, keyless entry, parking sensors and premium floor carpets.
The dashboard too is pretty healthy and has a 6.2-inch LCD touchscreen display unit to do with. Moreover, there is also a 2-DIN music system which has radio tuners and a DVD player. The audio is routed to a set of six speakers and two tweeters.
Likable performance
The Mitsubishi Adventure is offered in just the diesel guise, and though the engine is not outright powerful, it is sober and well in-line with the tag of being a UV. The 2.5-litre oil burner motor can churn out a maximum power of 75 PS at 4,200 revs per minute along with a peak torque of 149 Nm at 2,500 revs per minute. The power and torque are enough to do the job on both city roads and highways.
The power is sent down to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission unit in all the variants.
It is a wonderful UV
The Mitsubishi Adventure has been a “family wagon” right since the late 90s. The simple design and practical features are what the UV is known for. It is one of the best cars in this segment and has given tough days to the Isuzu Crosswind.
Hence, the Mitsubishi Adventure, with all its features and highly-affordable price tag, is definitely a very good value for money car.
