5 Major Highlights of the Canadian International Auto Show 2017
Auto Shows are the places where one sees great two/four wheeled creations. Some with the promise to land soon and be available for sale, while others still in the concept stage. The Canadian International Auto Show has no dearth of both and as a matter of fact has under its hat some of the biggest and most awaited showcasing’s of the auto world.
Let’s have a look at five such stunning beasts that added glamor to the Canadian a.k.a Toronto Auto Show -
Aston Martin AM-RB 001
When it’s Aston Martin, the hopes automatically multiply and touch the sky. The company was recently in the news to have tied up with an energy drink company to manufacture a supercar. It seems like there’s already a beast to compete with the recently announced supercar by Mercedes -AMG.
Coming down to business, the company is said to manufacture 175 of these speedsters, and as per reports, many F1 drivers have already booked one for themselves. It is designed by the renowned auto designer and maker of many winning Formula One cars, Adrien Newey. The said car is reported to hold the ability to go from still to 321 km/h mark in 10 seconds. As a finishing touch, when cornering sideways it can pull the force of gravity four times, impressive, isn’t it!
2018 Audi RS3
Time to welcome Audi in the house! Well, if you think what’s the great deal about this small, harmless car then we’ll like you to update your knowledge, as it is the first RS3 to step foot in Canada. Previously, all RS3 versions were denied to enter in North American market.
The said car holds some great potential, and one should not confuse its petite body image with anything less potent. With such strong powerhouse underneath, the all-new RS3 can touch the 100 kmph figure in 4.1 seconds.
2017 Jeep Compass
Oh, don’t worry. The 2017 Compass is nothing like its infamous predecessors that hold the reputation of a bad fuel economy and less powerful mill.
The showcased new version, on the other hand, is said to be the complete opposite and ensures to erase off all bad memories. Though, the company is offering it in 17 different power terrains worldwide, for Canada the option is restricted to a 2.4-litre 4-CYL mill. For additional performance, are also present 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive options.
Kia Stinger
It seems like someone is trying to get into the high-performance section and has surely done a great job. Well, Kia with its recently Stinger showcasing at Toronto made a point of it holding the capacity to manufacture powerful high-end machines clear. The highlight of the said car is its chassis that is made by the same man who was behind BMW M series setup, Albert Biermann.
The Stinger GT is powered by a 3.3-litre twin turbo V-6 mill that effortlessly pours out 365 hp and takes about 5.1 seconds to hit 100 kmph.
Mercedes G550 4X4 2
Last but not the least, is a rugged four-wheel monster from Mercedes. The showcased G550 4X4 2 is beyond limits the most masculine, strong and powerful G-class. It is powered by a V8 twin turbo mill that will fulfill driver’s every last want of power craving.
What makes it efficient are the newly added portal axles that raise the axles over the wheels. Thus, allowing it to move over 43 cm high obstacle with ease.
