The 2023 Trans Sport Show runs from May 18 to 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.How much is the ticket at the 2023 Trans Sport Show?
Tickets are priced at P200 for adults and P100 for senior citizens, PWDs, and children. Here are five of the most interesting cars that you should check out at the show:
Lamborghini Huracan STO
There were several Lamborghini Huracan STO units displayed at this year’s Trans Sport Show and one of these is the first twin-turbo STO in the Philippines featured at Club300’s booth.
The Lamborghini Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omolgata) is a road-legal super sports car inspired by Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s one-make race series.
The Lamborghini Huracan STO is powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine that generates 640hp and 565Nm of torque. The Lamborghini Huracan STO can accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in just three seconds and from a standstill to 200kph in nine seconds. The Lamborghini Huracan STO can reach a top speed of 310kph.
To deliver outstanding aerodynamic efficiency, the Lamborghini Huracan STO comes with a cofango air ducts, front splitter, and louvers; rear fender with NACA intake; rear engine bonnet with air scoop; shark fin; and adjustable rear wing.
1976 Mitsubishi Lancer
The 1976 Mitsubishi Lancer, also known as the L-type, creates nostalgic vibes at the show.
The Mitsubishi Lancer has been one of the most iconic models in the country in the ‘90s, but its first-generation model has been known for its unique L-shaped tail lights, hence the alias.
Lancer fans can also check out the popular Lancer “box-type” on display, equipped with the AMG-tuned 4G63 engine.
1984 Toyota Corolla
Another Japanese classic at the event is the 1984 Toyota Corolla equipped with a Silvertop 4AGE engine.
The 1984 Toyota Corolla is a remarkable model, as it is the first Corolla to feature front wheel drive, but unfortunately, it was not released in the country.
Fumio Agetsuma was in charge of the Corolla team back then, and he made a bold suggestion to make the fifth-generation Corolla front-wheel drive to free up space that the rear-wheel drive design was taking up in the interior. The top executives gave their approval for the new layout, laying the groundwork for the modern Corolla. The switch to front-wheel drive made it possible for the new Corolla to have completely independent suspension. The engine was positioned transversely to further maximize space.
Off-road-ready Jeep Wrangler JK
Autobot Offroad brought in a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK equipped with steel bumpers and mud-terrain tires that further enhance the SUV’s off-road capability.
Among the notable design elements of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK are the classic round headlamps, seven-slot grille, trapezoid wheel flares, removable doors, exposed hinges, a fold-down windshield, and innovative removable tops and half doors.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 285hp and 260lb-ft of torque. It has a towing capacity of 1,587kg.
1957 Ford Fairlane Club Victoria 500
One of the vintage cars exhibited at the event is the 1957 Ford Fairlane Club Victoria 500.
1957 was a remarkable year for Ford Motor Company outselling its main competition, Chevrolet. The Fairlane, which was newly redesigned back then, contributed to the company's significant sales success. Furthermore, the 1957 Fords had longer, more streamlined wheelbases, which resulted in a sportier look. Fairlane was Ford's top-of-the-line passenger model in 1957, and the Fairlane 500 was the Fairlane badge's top trim level.
Special gold side trim was added to the Fairlane 500 to help it stand out from the standard Fairlane.
These are just five of the many cars that you can check out at the 2023 Trans Sport Show. Aside from visiting the car displays, you can also shop around for car care products and accessories at the aftermarket booths.
The 2023 Trans Sport Show runs until Sunday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at P200 for adults, and P100 for senior citizens, PWDs, and children below 12 years old.
