Cars that should come to the Philippines from NAIAS 2017
Exactly one week past the New Year, auto industry geared up to start a whole new chapter. The title of which is synonyms to innovation and uniqueness, it’s the 2017 North American International Auto Show. Well, the said auto expo is counted amongst the top and is regarded as heaven for auto junkies. Apart from showcasing future of mobility in the form of high-end technologies that’ll be making the ride a lot more comfortable and safer, the show also provides a platform for auto brands to display their latest launches.
The list is without a doubt impressive and lucky North America will be getting it all. We have our wish list and expect a few to come to the Philippines in the months to come.
Here are cars from the 2017 NAIAS that should come to the Philippines –
2018 Chevrolet Traverse
The first car to feature on the list is 2018 Traverse that is getting an overhaul nearly after nine years of getting into the business. Falling under the Sport Utility Segment, the car is big and masculine with its bold exterior only making things better. Available in two engine options – 3.6-liter and 2.0-liter both paired with 9-speed automatic gearbox, it offers smooth shifting and improved mileage.
Chevrolet should consider bringing this one to the Philippines, as the countrymen have always shown greater interest towards SUV’s.
Audi and its four angles
When its Audi it’s not just hard but impossible to pick one. The brand showcased four new vehicles at 2017 NAIAS, and we hope that all of them soon make their way in the Philippines auto market. In line are present the all-new 2018 Audi A4 & S5 Cabriolet, new Audi SQ5, and Audi Q8 Concept.
All-new 2018 Lexus LS 500
28-years back, the very first Lexus LS debuted in Detroit, and now the fifth generation LS is witnessing its world premiere on the same land. Hailing from the luxury wing of Toyota, Lexus LS 500 has a high-performance potential for the Philippines. Due to its clever combination of light weight material, the car has shed 200 pounds that will further boost its performance and fuel economy.
5th Gen Honda Odyssey
Honda Odyssey is not a new name for Filipinos, as the car has been running down the countries road for quite a while now. Seeing its present day demand, a new and improved Odyssey with better looks seems like a good pick. What’s further great is that the car is tuned with a 10th-speed automatic transmission for the first time.
Toyota Camry
Yes, a new Toyota Camry is making headlines in North America; well a best seller for the past 15-years deserves every bit of this hype. Being a Toyota loyal country itself, the Philippines should surely get the new Camry shortly. The car now carries an entirely new design language, plush interior and better performance and safety.
With this, we now come to end of our list, and hope in the months to come some of these new hot cakes of the auto world turn their heads towards the Philippines.
