Hyundai Eon - The popular choice amongst first-time car buyers

Looking to buy your first car? It’s an exciting feeling, but at the same time, you need to be careful with the choice of vehicle. How are your driving skills? What is the purpose of buying the car?  How much you would be traveling with it on a monthly basis? Everything needs to be taken care of.

Hyundai Eon

There are several options available for beginners, but the Hyundai Eon is rapidly becoming a popular choice among first-time car buyers. It is one of the highly popular sub-compact vehicles in the Philippines. The fuel economy; storage; design and the interior of the car are primary reasons for making it one of the favourites with beginners.

This vehicle was launched in the Philippines in March 2012 by the South Korean auto manufacturer. The Philippines market version of this model comes in three variants - GL, GLS, and GLX. The car offers tough competition to its competitors in its small car category with its remarkable fuel efficiency that reads around 21 kmpl.

Power and Torque Figure Of Eon

The Eon GLS variant comes equipped with a three-cylinder 814cc engine that offers a maximum power of 56 PS and peak torque of 75 Nm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine is capable to offer 120 kmph and even an extra 10-15 kmph can be enjoyed in case the air-conditioning system is kept switched off.

Hyundai Eon Frame

This popular city car is also considered one of the lightest in its segment, with a gross car weight reading merely 1190 kg. Even the clutch and steering weighs light along with compact turning radius and the tall first gear that makes it easy for city drivers to drive on busy streets comfortably. The compact structure and its swiftness are among the many reasons that attract first-time car buyers.

Cushioning inside the car is optimum as it comes with torsion axle beam at the rear and MacPherson strut suspension at the front. The Hyundai Eon comes equipped with an array of attractive interior features like finely crafted dash with a swept down centre console, finely designed spacious cabin with every control positioned appropriately, good quality inbuilt audio system with a CD player (USB and AUX connectivity too) etc. Another salient feature includes the very efficient air conditioning system used that can beat the heat even on hottest days within the shortest possible time period.

Eon Cabin

This 5-seater subcompact car has steering that comes with tilt feature making it possible for the driver to do adjustment as per her/his comfort. This car can comfortably welcome four passengers and it is a great choice for buyers who are buying first time just to hit the crowded city roads mainly.

This vehicle is also renowned for its immensely spacious 215-litre cargo with room for a scooped out place on the dash, a square compartment in front place of the gear lever, spacious glove box and a bottle holder placed behind the handbrake.

Hyundai Eon Front

The exterior features and design of this city car are also engineered to make it look stylish and eye-catching even though it is a small-sized automobile. The body coloured bumpers, ORVMs and door handles, all are designed appropriately to impart a flawless look to this subcompact Hyundai. There are multiple auto body colour options available like Blue; Black; Red; White; Silver and Grey. There is a hexagonal grille at the front that can be spotted across all Hyundai models commonly. The front portion gets its definition from the finely integrated fog lamps paired with body coloured bumpers.

These are some of the significant reasons that have made Hyundai Eon a popular choice for first-time car buyers that can do justification with their money. Hyundai Eon variants cost buyers from Php 493,000 to 511,000.
