Compact size

Its compact dimensions make the Picanto an extraordinary city hatchback — maneuverable and easy to park, and a great Point A-to-Point-B vehicle.

Spaciousness

Despite its small exterior profile, Kia engineered the cabin of the Picanto to be reasonably spacious. It also boasts a large glove box, numerous storage bins, cup holders, and 60:40-split rear seats provide ample space for storage.

Stylish interior

Some entry-level hatchbacks may compromise on the availability of modern convenience and comfort functionalities; not the Kia Picanto.

This urban hatchback has some useful features such as Bluetooth compatibility in its infotainment, a steering wheel-mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, among others. These niceties make the occupants feel special whenever they get inside the Picanto. 

Rigidity

The Picanto’s enhanced dynamic performance, improved cabin protection, and increased average body tensile strength can be attributed to its utilization of over 44% Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS), and the hot-stamping of parts in major areas of stress.

Attractive pricing

Definitely a plus for tight budgets, the price of the Kia Picanto starts at P590,000 and it comes in Clear White, Titanium Silver, Pop Orange, Lime Light, Alice Blue, and Honey Bee colors. It is also backed by a five-year or 160,000-km warranty, whichever comes first — good value by any measure.

Cons

Less power

The Kia Picanto is fitted with either 1.0-liter and 1.2-liter petrol engines (generating 67ps and 84ps, respectively).  While the Picanto is a small car, this engine output cannot be realistically be counted on to deliver sprightly, spirited performance.

Then again, if you were looking for a zippier car, you must be willing to pony up the cash.

Offbeat exterior styling

While it interprets and integrates Kia's Tiger Nose Grille concept nicely, some quarters may still take issue with its funky, offbeat styling.
