First Lamborghini With A Turbocharged Engine
This is the first time that Lamborghini has developed a turbocharged engine for its model. The upcoming Urus will be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that has a potential to pump out the maximum power of 641 hp with power being transmitted to all the four wheels of the SUV. This is also the first time in 54 years that Lamborghini has ditched naturally aspirated engines over a turbocharged engine.

Based On MQB EVO Platform
Although there is an exclusive engine developed for the SUV, the platform on which it is developed is the same MQB EVO, which is also a part of many VW group’s models like Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, and Bentley Bentayga.

It Will Be Fast
When it is Lamborghini, you don’t need to worry about its agility. Fast and Lamborghini are synonymous with each other and Urus is no exception. The Italian automaker is also eying to break the Nurburgring record set by Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, with a lap time of 7:51.7. The manufacturer claims that the upcoming SUV will be having a top speed of 300 kmph, which will make it the fastest SUV in the world, the tag which is currently in possession with Bentley Bentayga.

Six Driving Modes"
Usually, Lamborghini’s come with three driving modes: Strada (street), Corsa (Track) and Sport. But, the upcoming Urus will be offered with six driving modes with off-roading capabilities. The list of modes includes Sabbia (Sand), Terra (Gravel) and Neve (Snow) along with the standard modes.

Hybrid Version On The Cards
As VW group is planning to upgrade its lineup to all-electric, the outrageous SUV will be also offered in a plug-in hybrid version. The exact information about the hybrid powertrain is yet not revealed by the automaker as it will be introduced at a later stage of the SUV’s life cycle. However, the hybrid variant will be more focused towards fuel efficiency over performance figures and that might be heart wrecking for some of the Lamborghini’s fans.
