The biggest outdoor test drive event in the Philippines returns this summer. The Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival, organized by Sunshine Television in partnership with SM Offices and SM Mall of Asia Complex, takes place at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, allowing visitors to test out a wide selection of vehicles from various brands.

11 brands are participating this year. Here are all the cars that you can test drive at 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival:

Ford

The recently launched next-generation Ford Territory is one of the cars available for a test drive at the event. The Ford Territory is powered by an EcoBoost 1.5-liter engine that produces 160ps and 248Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with a wet-type dual-clutch transmission system. The Ford Territory comes with four selectable drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and Mountain. It is also equipped with advanced driver-assist technologies that make driving safer and more convenient.

Attendees can also test drive the next-generation Ford Ranger and Ford Everest, which are best known for their bold looks, premium interior, enhanced ride comfort, and outstanding capabilities.

GAC Motor

Five GAC models are available for test drive at the event — the GAC Emkoo, the GAC Empow, the GAC GS8, the GAC GS4, and the GAC GN6.

GAC’s newest model, the Emkoo, is a five-seater compact SUV with futuristic styling. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine that delivers 177hp and 270Nm of torque, with a quick-shifting, seven-speed wet Dual Clutch Transmission. The GAC Emkoo has a fuel mileage of 16.1km/L.

The GAC Empow and GAC GS8 were launched in January along with the reintroduction of the brand in the country under Astara Philippines. The GAC Empow is a compact sedan with sleek looks and impressive performance, while the GAC GS8 is an upscale SUV that features a sophisticated exterior and a premium interior.

Meanwhile, the GAC GS4 is a compact crossover known for its streamlined looks and technologically advanced features, and the GAC GN6 is a seven-seater MPV that serves as a perfect family vehicle with its spacious interior, flexible seating configuration, and premium comfort features.

Great Wall Motor

Great Wall Motor (GWM) arrived in the Philippines in March, promising a new mobility experience through new energy and technology. Its initial lineup consists of three models — the Haval H6, the Haval Jolion, and the GWM Cannon — all of which are available for a test drive at the Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival.

The Haval H6 is GWM’s flagship model in the country. This hybrid vehicle is built on a cutting-edge platform that GWM independently developed from a global perspective.

Another hybrid offering from GWM is the Haval Jolion which features a driver-centric cockpit and cutting-edge technologies such as a 360-degree Around View Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control, and level 2 autonomous driving capabilities.

Attendees can also test drive the GWM Cannon pickup truck, which combines ruggedness with luxury. This reliable workhorse features a spacious cargo bed and cutting-edge safety technologies.

Honda

The latest Honda models will be available for a test drive at the event. These include the Honda BR-V, Honda City, Honda Brio, Honda Civic, and Honda HR-V.

All these models guarantee confidence and peace of mind with Honda's renowned quality and reliability.

The Honda Civic, Honda HR-V, and the top-of-the-line variant of the Honda BR-V are equipped with Honda Sensing, a suite of safety features developed in line with Honda's global safety concept, “Safety for Everyone.” These features help increase the driver's awareness of the conditions on the road and in traffic and, in some cases, take action to help prevent or lessen the severity of an accident.

Hyundai

Attendees of the 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival may also test drive the award-winning, all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5, which features unique exterior and interior design elements, advanced driver assistance and safety features, and powerful performance with ultra-fast charging and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 can be charged from 10% to 80% within 18 minutes when using a 350kW charger. According to WLTP, the vehicle can be charged for only five minutes to reach 100km.

Also available for test drive are the Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Staria, Hyundai Tucson, and Hyundai Stargazer.

Mitsubishi

Those looking for a brand-new Mitsubishi may also visit the event to test drive the Mitsubishi Xpander, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Mitsubishi Strada, and Mitsubishi Mirage G4.

The Mitsubishi Xpander and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross are family-friendly crossover MPVs with flexible interior configurations. Meanwhile, the sophisticated Mitsubishi Montero Sport is a seven-seater SUV that delivers excellent power and advanced features that ensure comfort, convenience, and safety on the road.

For adventure seekers, Mitsubishi offers the resilient and versatile Strada pickup, while the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is designed for those searching for a sleek and easy-to-drive compact car with dependable performance, low-cost ownership, and excellent fuel economy.

Nissan

You can also experience Nissan’s e-Power technology at the 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival as the Nissan Kicks is also available for testing.

With e-Power, Nissan's existing electric vehicle technology is combined with a petrol engine whose sole purpose is to charge the battery. This delivers a ride that is more powerful and fuel-efficient than a conventional petrol-powered car while also being quieter.

Other Nissan models available for test drive at the event are the Nissan Leaf, Nissan Almera, Nissan Navara, and Nissan Terra.

Subaru

Subaru has the Subaru XV, Subaru Forester, Subaru Outback, Subaru Evoltis, Subaru WRX, and Subaru BRZ available for testing at the 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival.

Subaru is known for its award-winning EyeSight preventive safety system, which includes pre-collision braking, autonomous emergency steering, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and EyeSight Assist Monitor. The latest version of EyeSight, which was introduced in the 2023 Subaru Evoltis, can distinguish between pedestrians and slower-moving two-wheeled vehicles.

Suzuki

The automatic transmission variant of the Suzuki S-Presso is also available for test drive at the 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival. Suzuki Auto Philippines started accepting reservations for the Suzuki S-Presso AGS (Auto Gear Shift) last month.

The Suzuki S-Presso AGS also comes with a new K10C engine that delivers better fuel economy and fewer emissions compared to the hatchback’s manual transmission variant.

Visitors may also test drive the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid at the event. This Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) comes with a fuel-efficient 1.5-liter petrol engine and an integrated starter generator (ISG) that has the functionality of charging the battery and electric motor while assisting with standing starts and acceleration.

Other Suzuki models available for test drive are the Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki XL7, and Suzuki Dzire.

Toyota

There is a wide range of Toyota vehicles available for a test drive at the 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival.

Those looking for hybrid vehicles may test drive the hybrid variants of Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Corolla Cross, while those who want a Gazoo Racing-inspired ride may test the GR-S variants of Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux. The Toyota Veloz and Toyota Raize Turbo are also available for a test drive at the event.

WM Motor

Visitors of the 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival may also test drive the all-electric Weltmeister W5.

The Weltmeister W5 has an NEDC range of 403 kilometers. It comes with a 7kW home wall charger, 3.3kW charging cable compatible with 220V Type B wall outlet, sport and eco driving modes, three levels of energy regeneration, a 360-degree camera with parking recording function, and a built-in front dash camera.

The 2023 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival is open to the public until Sunday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
