    Toyota Wigo

Toyota Motor Philippines’ lowest-cost model is definitely not low in standards. Ideal for first-time car buyers and young professionals, the Toyota Wigo is a five-seater that remains to be a popular choice among entry-level hatchbacks.

    Wigo

The Toyota Wigo’s compact yet sleek exterior perfectly depicts urban style. The top-of-the-range TRD variant comes with a Sport Kit that includes a front spoiler, side and rear skirts, two-tone rear spoiler, and TRD S decals and badge.

The Toyota Wigo is available in six fun exterior color options: Yellow SE, White 2, Gray Metallic, Orange Metallic 2, Black 2, and Silver Metallic 4.

The Toyota Wigo’s cabin is surprisingly spacious, with comfortable seats and plenty of legroom.

For a convenient drive, the Toyota Wigo is equipped with keyless entry, push start button, steering wheel switches, power retract and adjust side mirrors, back sonar, and back camera guide.

The G and TRD variants are equipped with a touchscreen display audio with Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and Voice Command. These variants also come with an LCD air conditioner panel.

The Toyota Wigo is powered by a three-cylinder inline engine that produces 66ps of power and 89Nm of torque. It comes in five-speed manual and four-speed automatic variants.

In terms of safety features, the Toyota Wigo is equipped with dual front SRS airbags, anti-lock brake system, and Isofix child restraint system.

Pricing for the Toyota Wigo ranges from P573,000 to P705,000.

    Kia Picanto

If you think it is impossible to have both comfort and performance out of an affordable compact car, the Kia Picanto will convince you otherwise. The Kia Picanto, which is marketed as the perfect vehicle for first-time car buyers, is fitted with convenience features that take it beyond its status as a simple point-to-point transporter.

Kia Picanto is equipped with multi-reflector halogen headlamps and high-mount stop lamp for improved visibility. The EX grade also comes with front fog lamps. All variants are fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels.

Kia Picanto comes in six body colors: Clear White, Titanium Silver, Pop Orange, Lime Light, Alice Blue, and Honey Bee.

Although it looks small on the outside, the Kia Picanto boasts a spacious cabin. The EX variants are equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility, and Voice Control.

The LX grade is powered by a 1.0-liter petrol engine that produces 67ps of power and 95Nm of torque, while the EX grade comes with a 1.2-liter petrol engine that generates 84ps of power and 122Nm of torque. Both grades are available in five-speed manual and four-speed automatic variants.

The Picanto’s body is made of over 44% advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) and hot-stamped steel to ensure durability.

Parking is also made easy with the Picanto as it comes with a rear-camera display with static guidelines.

Pricing for the Kia Picanto starts at P700,000.

    Suzuki S-Presso

Suzuki has been known for its affordable yet feature-packed compact cars but it even leveled up its game when it introduced the S-Presso in 2020.

    Suzuki S-Presso Special Edition

With its budget-friendly price tag, you might be thinking that the Suzuki S-Presso is simply a cheaper alternative of the brand’s well-known hatchbacks but in reality, the S-Presso has been making a name of its own.

The S-Presso has a unique, muscular appearance that makes it look like a mini SUV. Its prominent front grille, front and rear bumpers, headlamp and rear lamp design make a bold statement on the road. The S-Presso comes with 12-spoke machine-finish alloy wheels.

The S-Presso is available in five body color options: Sizzle Orange, Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey, Starry Blue Pearl, and White.

Once you step inside the Suzuki S-Presso, you will be greeted by the trendy digital speedometer. The dashboard is also equipped with a three-spoke urethane steering wheel, manual air-conditioning controls, and seven-inch multimedia audio display.

The S-Presso is powered by a 1.0-liter petrol engine that generates 67ps of power and 90Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission that offers optimal gear ratio and reduces friction for the engine and drivetrain to achieve the best possible fuel consumption and performance.

The S-Presso’s body is also made of enhanced insulation materials to reduce muffler noise, road noise, and floor vibration. This also helps in optimizing airflow to achieve the perfect balance of design and aerodynamic performance.

The Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) concept is also applied on the S-Presso’s body to protect the cabin in case of a collision. This concept absorbs and distributes energy when the vehicle is involved in a crash and uses high-tensile steel to reduce weight and improve safety.

Maneuvering on tight spaces is also made easy by the S-Presso as it has a minimum turning radius of 4.5m.

Pricing for the Suzuki S-Presso ranges from P563,000 to P588,000.

    Honda Brio

The Honda Brio has been one of the best-selling hatchback models in the local market. It features a sharply contoured exterior that makes it look spunky and sporty. Visibility is improved by its halogen headlights, fog lights, bulb-style tail lights, and an LED high-mount stop lamp.

    Honda Brio RS

The Brio also comes in RS variants that feature RS design front grille, rear bumper, and side sill garnish.

The Brio comes in five exterior color options: Phoenix Orange Pearl, Carnival Yellow, Taffeta White, Modern Steel Metallic, and Rallye Red.

The V and RS variants are equipped with a seven-inch capacitive audio. Other interior features include a 12V accessory outlet, a USB port, cup holders, and bottle holders. The Brio can accommodate up to 258 liters when the rear seat is up, and up to 710 liters when the rear seat is folded.

Under the Brio’s hood is a Euro 4-compliant 1.2-liter SOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 90ps of power and 110Nm of torque. The Brio is available in five-speed and CVT variants.

To ensure top-notch safety, the Brio is built with a G-Force Control (G-CON) body.

Pricing for the Honda Brio ranges from P650,000 to P808,000.

    Suzuki Swift

Suzuki Swift is best known for its exceptional handling. It also features a sleek distinctive design that is perfect for those who are passionate about driving.

    Suzuki Swift

The Swift is designed with bold chrome-accented grille, muscular body lines, and 16-inch alloy wheels. It comes in four body color options: Pure White Pearl, Speedy Blue Metallic, Mineral Gray Metallic, and Ablaze Red Pearl.

Suzuki Swift offers a comfortable and convenient driving experience with its sporty D-shaped steering wheel and eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with soft touch button and Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility.

Since the overall vehicle height is lowered, Suzuki also lowered the seating positions in the Swift’s cabin to provide ample headroom.

The Swift’s luggage compartment can accommodate up to 242 liters of cargo when the rear seat is raised, and up to 556 liters when the rear seat is folded.

The Swift is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine mated to CVT. The engine generates 83ps of power and 113Nm of torque.

The Swift is built on the Heartect platform that features an extensive use of light, high-tensile steel for improved running performance and fuel economy. As part of this platform, the Swift features a newly designed suspension that provides linear steering control and solid ride quality.

The Suzuki Swift is priced at P898,000.
