These partners' constant companion is the Mitsubishi Mirage
In 2015, Mitsubishi Mirage owners and couple Ehly Garcia and Chira dela Cruz were thinking of a unique name for their newly purchased vehicle while they were driving along Jupiter Street in Makati.
As they were imagining the exterior appearance of their Amethyst Purple Mirage GLS CVT hatchback, they were able to come up with a suitable name, “Diva.”
Since Ehly and Chira are both entrepreneurs, selecting a vehicle that is highly reliable, budget-friendly, and convenient to own were their major considerations.
Chira explained that they check the fuel efficiency of a car when purchasing since they prioritize a vehicle that they can use daily for work. The Mirage boasts of fuel efficiency, and there were affordable offers at that particular time, which additionally attracted them to the hatchback.
Being a passionate car enthusiast and driver for 13 years, Chira selected the Mirage because of its road presence and ease of maneuverability even in narrow areas.
The two on-the-go creative types consider their Mirage their reliable daily driver.
According to Chira, the fuel economy of the Mirage averages 13 to 15 kilometers per liter when being driven around the city.
Moreover, the Mitsubishi Mirage is easy to maintain with affordable preventive maintenance service (PMS). Chira also claimed that for almost six years of using the Mirage, they never had any issues with it.
The Mirage definitely helps to fulfill Mitsubishi's promise to provide highly reliable vehicles.
The Mirage is fitted with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine matched to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which makes it more convenient to drive even to Tagaytay with four adult passengers onboard.
Ehly and Chira also benefited from the responsive after-sales service of Mitsubishi. They both recalled that time when their Mirage got hit by a 16-wheeler truck while they were parked at the Batangas port.
Chira explained that since the Mirage is assembled in the country, parts are not a problem. When she took Diva to the casa, it only took three weeks for the repairs to be done despite the damage that the car sustained.
This experience contributed to the tight bond of Ehly and Chira with Diva since they know that they will always have a vehicle that they can depend on, whenever or wherever.
The Mitsubishi Mirage has, over the years, transformed into a more mature, value-packed version of the original.
With a new appearance and updated features like LED taillights, bi-xenon headlights, and touchscreen infotainment system, the Mirage is still constructed on the similar foundations that the 2013 Car of the Year Philippines-winning Mirage GLS CVT was based on. This makes the Mirage a fun, feature-laden, value-for-money, practical, and convenient-to-own vehicle.
