What All Features Make Hyundai Eon One of the Best Budget Cars Around

MANILA: When you are out to buy your first car or a budget car, in either of the two cases Hyundai Eon gets a top rating. Many are sceptical whether or not it is a good choice over the likes of Toyota Wigo and Mitsubishi Mirage. Well, the final call is always yours and we by no means want to influence your decision. But it's always better to check all the available choices and study each in detail. We have already done detailed articles on Wigo and Mirage, and now after this article, you'll surely have a good idea as to which one of three fits best in your demand basket.
Hyundai Eon delivers a sporty and stylish outer body, all thanks to its sharp contour lines and dynamic touches. All in all, it is a chic car that will always take you to your destination in style.
To its attractive list of exterior features are included swept back headlamps that apart from providing best in class illumination gives its front profile an aggressive look. In line with the headlamp is a two-tone chrome radiator grille that down under houses large air intakes that is assigned to keep the engine & radiator cool. At the rear, increasing its aerodynamic efficiency is present a rear spoiler that comes with a LED stop lamp. Other amenities included on the exterior are body colored ORVM, micro antenna and spray washer.
Though Eon falls in the hatchback segment, it provides an airy cabin that can fit five average sized individuals easily along with all their luggage. No, we are not joking, Eon designers have made every inch count and have carved out 215-litre trunk. Apart from the main boot, Eon also offers many storage areas including dashboard upper tray, door pocket and dual cup holder.
Further increasing your cabin comfort are present a 4-speed blower driven powerful climate control system. The system takes care of all three heating, cooling and ventilation need.
Hyundai Eon comes powered by an Epsilon 0.8 MPi eco-friendly mill that generates a maximum power of 56 PS at 5500 rpm along with a peak torque of 75 Nm at 4000 rpm. Paired with the said mill is a silk-smooth five-speed manual gearbox that ensures great fuel economy of 20.8 km per litre.
In addition, the new Eon is powered with a Motor Driven Power Steering over the conventional hydraulic one. This again contributes in delivering great fuel economy and excellent steering response. Making the ride smooth and bump free are present McPherson strut suspension at the front and Torsion Beam Axle suspension at the rear. Further, increasing the driver's confidence are its 13-inch ventilated disc front and drum rear brakes.
Hyundai Eon is a strong car that is built with the best-in-class body structure. Starting with its upper body, it is designed to effectively distribute shock forces. Also, its side doors are constructed to take in maximum force, thus giving maximum protection to the occupants.
