What to anticipate from Omoda's arrival in the Philippine market? 

Soon, Omoda will arrive in the Philippines, the carmaker’s executives announced in a press conference. The Omoda brand is supported by a sizable Chinese carmaker with a long list of accomplishments and a resume that is packed with a lot of credibility.

The Omoda 5 includes two 10.25-inch screens, a "4.0 human-machine interface system," and a package of advanced driver-assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and blind spot warning, to mention a few.

Of note is the Omoda 5's price. It could be priced under P1.5 million, putting it competitively with other Chinese compact crossover SUVs and far less expensive than its primary rivals from Japan, Korea, the United States, and Europe.

Omoda executives were also quick to promise that more service centers would accompany the brand’s offerings. This announcement suggests the company’s intent to assure buyers of the longevity of its products.

Backed by strong accolades, an interesting product,  and matched with these promises, Omoda’s local arrival should be a success.
