2018 Mazda MX-5 launched in the Philippines

MANILAMazda Philippines has announced updated version of the fourth generation MX-5. This time the number one selling roadster comes with more breathtaking design and promises hair-raising ride with every drive. Mazda MX-5 is crowned as the world’s best-selling two-seater sports car. And the company is now ready to make it even better for an ultimate driving pleasure.

Mazda Machine Grey Frontend

The 2018 MX-5 gets upgraded soft-top and retractable fastback (RF) variants. Stunning looks and comfortable drive simultaneously captivates the driver and dominates the road. From embracing the SKYACTIV technology to crafting a driver-centric design, the MX-5 RF trim is designed for soul-rousing drives. It amplifies the KODO design and gives a splash of sophistication with fine-tuned performance hallmark.

Mr. Steven Tan, Mazda Philippines President, and CEO said, “Due to MX-5 model lineup popularity, there has always remained a strong demand in the Philippines. We believe that our fans will be able to find the ideal sports car with an improved product version and more trimming options to choose from. After all, it expresses their and passion for driving.”

Mazda Interior

In the range-topping, soft top MX-5 variant a new dark cherry fabric will now be offered. Also, the driver’s seat is textured with Nappa leather with a KUDO stitching in the MX-5 soft top automatic. For the RF variants, new features like standard Lane Departure Warning and Adaptive LED headlamps are also added.

The all-new MX-5 uses noise canceling feature and the power steering is also tweaked to maximize the cabin pleasure. Advanced and top-notch equipment like Human Machine Interface (HMI) with 7-inch Touchscreen LCD monitor (CD/MP3) are used.

Mazda Backend

The soft top variant gets a refined steering that results in an enhanced ride and more agile handling. Under the hood, a SKYACTIV-G 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed SKYACTIV manual transmission, produces 157 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque.

Three different colors options has been added to the all-new Mazda MX-5 lineup. The first two, i.e., Soul Red and Machine Grey are available at an additional price of Php 16,800. Whereas, the new Soul Red Crystal being quite expensive is available at a price of Php 22,000, except for the top-of-the-line soft top.

The 2018 Mazda MX-5 RF 2.0L 6AT Nappa, being the top model is available for Php 2,300,000. Whereas, the 2018 Mazda MX-5 Soft Top 2.0L 6MT, the standard model is available for Php 1,880,000.

With premium detailing, sleek curves and track-tested engineering, the all-new MX-5 would be exciting to drive on different terrains.
