2018 Ssangyong Tivoli Premium Sport launched in the Philippines

MANILA: Ssangyong PH has introduced a new variant in its Tivoli lineup, the Premium Sport that comes with a sleeker design and handsome set of standard features. The new variant is meant to stir up the competition in B-segment crossover market and offer customers an entire range of stylish and practical Ssangyong vehicles. Aside from launching the Premium Sport variant, the company has also bestowed the spacious Tivoli XLV with a few minor upgrades.

On the outside, the new Tivoli Premium Sport gets a refreshed, cleaner front bumper design, large auto headlamps with DRLs, and bolder fog lamp design. The dual-tone color scheme gets the crossover inline with the latest fashion while the 18-inch multi-spoke silver alloys add to its sportiness.

Pop the doors of the new Tivoli Premium Sport and you’d be treated with the elegance of brown leather upholstery, multi-functional steering wheel and doors. The range-topper Tivoli Premium Sport also gets heating and cooling function for the front seats.

Powering the Tivoli Premium Sport is a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 128 PS of max power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 160 Nm at 2,800 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission which also gets a manual select option.

The Tivoli XLV, on the other hand, has been improved as well. In-cabin ergonomics have been enhanced to offer a great experience to the passengers as well as the driver. It gets a multi-function steering wheel for easy management and control of the touchscreen infotainment system, multi-info display, auto climate control and select driving modes.

Under the flesh, it gets a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder CRDi turbo engine that churns out a max power of 115 PS at 3,400-4,000rpm and a peak torque of 300 Nm at 1,500-2,000rpm, mated to a 6-speed auto transmission.

The 2018 Ssangyong Tivoli Premium Sport is priced at Php 1,160,000 while the updated Tivoli XLV retails at a price of Php 1,180,000.
