2019 Chevrolet Spark makes its way to the Philippines

MANILA: 2019 Chevrolet Spark, the car living up to its name since two decades is here with another refreshment. With a better appearance and an engine completely made up of aluminium, the arrival of the hatch has been announced by TCCCI, short for The Covenant Car Company, Inc.

The 2019 Chevrolet Spark, packing looks identical to the already on-sale Spark in the US gets upswept projector headlamps flanking a new grille, fog lamps with redesigned housings, and parted LED DRLs. There’s quite a bit of chrome outlining the front grille and the fog lamp housings. The new Chevy Spark now rides on 15-inch aluminium wheels.

Coupled with a continuously variable transmission is a 1.4-litre DOHC L4 DVVT motor. This engine with aluminium components is significantly lighter in weight. The new Spark spec sheet reads 99 PS of maximum power at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 128 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The folks at Chevrolet claims much more responsive drive and better fuel efficiency with the light-weight engine. The real world results, however, are yet to be seen.

On the inside, the new Spark features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also 6 speakers for enjoying those long rides. The rear seat is 60:40 split type. At the front, the driver seat is either 4-way or 2-way adjustable (depending on the variant) and the passenger seat is 2-way adjustable. You can have the Spark lighting your parking space in one of the Burning Hot Metallic, Carribean Blue Metallic, Merry Berry Me Metallic, Switchblade Silver, Summit White, Pull Me Over Red, Son of a Gun Gray Metallic, and Black Meet Metallic colors.
