2019 Mazda3 previewed in the Philippines, to launch soon

MANILA: 2019 Mazda3, which made its global debut in Los Angeles last year, has been previewed officially in the Philippines. When compared with its previous iteration, the all-new vehicle comes with an improved aerodynamic profile, a high-tech engine, and features simpler interior design.

The new Mazda3 is available in both hatch and sedan versions. The next-gen Mazda3 is based on the Kodo design language that gives the car a more mature look. The exterior has received an evolutionary makeover.

Its front fascia is completely redesigned and features a low slung bumper and a massive grille. The LED headlights are even sharper than before. Coming to the rear, the next-gen Mazda3 comes with a redesigned tailgate and also features a new set of taillights. The bolder-looking rear quarters give Mazda3 a rounder look along with a sportier look. Moreover, the car rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The 2019 Mazda3 cabin layout is ergonomic and straightforward. A 8.8-inch floating infotainment display is placed on the centre of the dash. The centre stack and climate control are also revised. The seats are comfortable and are wrapped in leather upholstery. The driver can grip a three-spoke steering wheel, which also gets sportier touche.

The 2019 Mazda3’s engine specifications and pricing details for the Phillippines market are not revealed yet. It is also unclear for now, whether the car will come with the SkyActiv-X powertrain or not, however, there are chances of this four-cylinder engine option to be included in the spec sheet. If rumours are to be believed, the vehicle could come with a better version of SkyActiv automatic transmission.

Mazda Philippines did not mention when the car will launch in the country. However, it has been announced that there are no more stocks for the old Mazda3. Thus, indicating that the new car will be available in the Philippines market soon.
