2019 Mitsubishi L300 will start from Php 770,000

MANILA: The discontinuation of the Mitsubishi L300 did not go down the stomach of the Philippine masses quite well. And, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) had to bring the workhorse back. That is just what the Japanese automaker did in the month of April, earlier this year.

Housing a new 2.2-liter Euro4 compliant turbo-diesel engine, the 2019 Mitsubishi L300 finally came back to the Philippines. Ever since the introduction of the brand-new L300, a lot of Filipinos have been waiting for the automaker to reveal the official prices and get their hands on the refreshed workhorse.

Now, in August 2019, almost four months since the unveiling of the 2019 Mitsubishi L300, we seem to have found the price details about the new L300. According to a few sources and dealerships, the Cab & Chassis model of the new L300 will be priced at Php 822,000,

whereas Php 998,000 will be what the Filipinos will have to pay for the Exceed trim. If you're wondering why did we mention a lower price in the title of the story, well, there will be a discount of Php 52,000 that will bring the cost down to Php 770,000 and Php 946,000 for the Cab & Chassis and Exceed model, respectively. On the other hand, the competitors of the 2019 Mitsubishi L300,

i.e., the Hyundai H-100 (Php 945,000 to Php 1,230,000) and Kia K250 (Php 910,000 to Php 998,000), are much expensive than the new L300.

Addressing the changes made to the 2019 L300 by Mitsubishi once again, the 2019 L300 Exceed stands 4260 mm long, 1695 mm wide, and 1895 mm tall, which is 100 mm taller than the previous model.

The ground clearance is 195 mm, while the wheelbase measures 2350 mm. Furthermore, the 2019 Mitsubishi L300 Exceed also incorporates a spray-on bed liner, gutterless roof, revisited side panels, sliding windows, bigger than before taillights, and more importantly, dual air conditioning. Additionally, the most significant change that made the comeback of the L300 to the Philippines possible is the new 2.2-litre Euro4 compliant turbo-diesel engine,

which is the same mill that powers the likes of the Eclipse Cross, ASX, and the Delica D5. A five-speed manual gearbox channels the power to the wheels. Mitsubishi is yet to reveal the power and performance figures of the 2019 L300. The torque and fuel efficiency are, however, said to be up by 40% and 10%, respectively.
