2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody looks nothing but dope!

MANILA: After taking over the Chevrolet Camaro in terms of sales in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019, Dodge has already shown to the world how good its cars actually are. The icing on the cake was the widebody model of the Challenger, which was warmly welcomed by the sports car fanatics. However, another Dodge beauty, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is a model that was due for quite some time now.

And guess what? The sales charts of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat are going to make a jump as the American muscle car manufacturer has just unveiled the widebody model of the Hellcat. For starters, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody gets brand new fenders, which further enhance the appearance of the four-door Dodge. Thanks to the kit, the Hellcat is now good 89 mm wider than the standard model.

As a result, the Hellcat can now ride on 20x11 wheels. Moreover, customers can choose from three different styles of wheels. Along with the revisited exterior, the Hellcat Widebody has also received revisions in terms of the suspension setup. The springs on the Hellcat Widebody are now much stiffer than the standard model.

Not only the Line Lock and Launch Control have been carried over from the standard model but the Hellcat Widebody also gets some exclusive add-ons like Race Cooldown and the Launch Assist. While the Race Cooldown mode keeps the fans, pumps, and the intercooler running even when the engine is not on in order to cool down the supercharger, the Launch Assist system regulates engine power when a wheel hop is detected.

Moving on to the stuff under the hood, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody houses the same 6.2-litre Hemi V8 as the standard Hellcat. This motor makes 707 PS of maximum power and allows the Hellcat Widebody to do a 0-100 kmph run in just 3.6 seconds before topping out at 315 kmph. The power is sent to the rear wheels via the TorqueFlite 8-speed transmission. Dodge has also announced that the Charger Scat Pack will also be offered with Charger Hellcat Widebody. Prices remain a mystery for now.
