2020 Mercedes-Benz B-Class is in the PH, priced at Php 2.69 million
MANILA: Auto Nation Group, who is the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz cars in the country, has finally launched the B-Class. The car is just the right offering for those who wanted something both bigger and better than the A-Class. In its third generation now, the MPV sports a dynamic redesign along with an interior which is high in technology. Note that the B-Class had already made its world debut back in 2018.
Let's start with the exterior of the 2020 Mercedes-Benz B-Class. While the front fascia of the MPV is bolstered by a larger than before front grille and brand new pair of headlights, the side profile gets a sloping roofline and redesigned alloy wheels. Moving on to the rear end of the MPV, we see a new tailgate-mounted spoiler, a diffuser on the rear bumper, and some slick taillamps.
As soon as you hop inside the 2020 Mercedes-Benz B-Class, you'll find the brand new MBUX infotainment system replacing the old COMAND unit. Then there are the aircraft-inspired aircon vents, piano black accents, and a two-tone hue. Then there two digital screens which act as the instrument cluster, multi-info display, and the infotainment system. Also, both of the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are a part of the infotainment system.
Some other amenities on the inside of the MPV include a 40:20:40 split rear seat, climate control, cruise control, leather seats, power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function, engine start/stop button, and automatic headlights.
The 2020 Mercedes-Benz B-Class is powered by a 1.3-litre three-cylinder turbocharged mill that makes 136 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 200 Nm. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox takes care of sending the power to the wheels. On the safety front, the MPV gets dual SRS airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist, stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat mounts. At Php 2,690,000, the B 180 is the solitary variant of the MPV that has been launched by Mercedes-Benz for the Filipinos.
