2020 Nisan Titan is the answer to Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado
MANILA: The 2020 Nissan Titan created buzz when the Japanese carmaker unveiled a more muscular, sleeker look for its pickup that can rival the likes of Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra, and Chevrolet Silverado.
The half-ton truck was made to look muscular on the outside yet luxurious on the inside. But more than looks, its hardware and safety features is what that makes it truly impressive. Nissan Titan specs sheet comes packed with power with its 5.6-liter V-8 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Nissan also overhauled the look of the Titan inside and out to exude a “Powerful Warrior” style. It has a prominent front grille, a new lower bumper, and striking ‘double-boomerang’ LED headlights. What is more, the new LED taillights and tailgate finishing can illuminate the entire bed.
Inside, the new Titan is all about new cabin tech that maximizes comfort with its “Zero Gravity” front seats and infotainment. The setup includes a standard 8.0-inch center screen with an option to swap with a 9.0-inch unit, 12-speaker Fender audio system, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi router, so you can stay connected wherever you go. It also improved its interior door-panel storage, interior assist grips, and a panoramic sunroof.
But the most noteworthy would be how Nissan improves its safety features. Though pickups are designed mainly for utilitarian purposes, the company acknowledges that current buyer profiles are evolving to include families and young professionals who love adventures and appreciate a good car that can perform both on off-road and weave through urban traffic. That’s why its driver assistance technology is a stunner.
It comes with a 360-degree camera, motion-detector system, standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control perfect for driving in the city. Further, its four-wheel-drive system, low-range transfer case, electronic-locking rear end, and hill-descent control system is ideal for off-roading adventures.
There is still no exact date as to when the 2020 Titan will be released in the Philippines or how much it will cost. But expect it to hit the dealership in the first half of next year.
