2020 Range Rover Evoque has arrived in PH, starts at Php 5.09 million
MANILA: Land Rover, the British auto giant, launched the 2020 Range Rover Evoque in November 2018. Soon after, we saw the smallest Land Rover SUV when it was previewed at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show, which took place in April, earlier this year.
Now, in June 2019, the British automaker has finally brought the newest iteration of the SUV in the Philippines. Retaining its signature floating roof and arched fenders design philosophy is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover for the Filipinos starting at Php 5.09 million.
Dwelling more into the design of the SUV, the front fascia incorporates a larger than before grille that is flanked by a slim pair of LED headlamps and a much muscular and expressive bumper. Following the footprints of its sibling Velar, the 2020 Land Rover Ranger Evoque gets Velar inspired tailgate trim piece, bumper, and revisited LED taillights at the rear.
From inside, the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is a true to 2019 SUV with multiple digital displays. All of the instrument cluster, infotainment system, and even climate control are digital units. The Land Rover TouchPro infotainment comes equipped with smartphone mirroring and navigation among other peculiarities. Just in case you are wondering,
yes, the SUV gets an automatic climate control. The inside of the Range Rover Evoque is bolstered by numerous other comfort and convenient features like engine start-stop button, powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof, sixteen-way power-adjustable front seats, and a sound system by Meridian.
Moving on to the mechanical bits on the British SUV, there is a 2.0-litre turbo-gasoline four-pot motor that makes 249 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 365 Nm between 1300 to 4300 rpm. For the diesel devotees, the 2020 Evoque gets a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel inline-four churning out 180 PS at 2,400 rpm and 430 Nm between 1750 to 2500 rpm.
There is also an option of a 48 V mild hybrid (MHEV) setup that comes with 300 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm between 1500 to 4500 rpm. All three powertrains including the mild hybrid setup comprise of a nine-speed automatic transmission along with an all-wheel-drive.
Safety features on the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque include ClearSight rear-view mirror, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, driver condition monitoring, reverse camera with all-around parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring. Filipinos can choose from the following variants of the British SUV:

- 2.0 R-Dynamic HSE Diesel – Php 5,490,000
- 2.0 R-Dynamic HSE Gasoline – Php 5,590,000
- 2.0 R-Dynamic HSE Gasoline MHEV – Php 6,190,000
