The local-market 2022 Honda HR-V and Asean-spec 2022 Honda BR-V are equipped with Honda Sensing. This slew of safety features for the brand offers extensive protection for drivers and passengers by giving warnings and performing automatic actions to lessen the risk of accidents.

    Honda Sensing includes:

    • Collision mitigation braking system (CMBS).
    • Adaptive cruise control (ACC) with low-speed follow (LSF).
    • Lane keeping assist system (LKAS).
    • Road departure mitigation system with lane departure warning (RDM with LDW).
    • Auto high-beam (AHB).
    • Lead car departure notification system (LCDN).

LKAS is a highway-friendly feature as it guides the steering to keep the vehicle centered in its lane.

Once LKAS is activated, the steering wheel vibrates, and an icon appears on the Honda vehicle's instrument panel showing that the vehicle is departing from its lane without the use of turn signals.

RDM with LDW will prevent the HR-V from straying off its intended path. These two gadgets are able to read lane markings.

The RDM feature steers the car back to the road, should it be veering off from the road and approaching  grass or a ditch on the side, for instance. LDW, on the other hand, notifies the driver via lights and sounds when the car transfers from one lane to another sans turn signals— whether intentional or otherwise.

Honda Sensing's LCDN and LCF are ideal in stop-and-go traffic and when the vehicle is in a queue of cars.

At a standstill, LCDN, well, notifies the driver with a prompt on the dash that the car in front has begun accelerating away. Meanwhile, LCF automatically accelerates and stops the car in stop-and-go traffic at speeds of only up to 30kph.

The CMBS of Honda Sensing warns and helps the driver avoid or reduce the impact of a frontal collision. It does this by providing the driver with visual and audible warnings and automatically applying the brakes when necessary.

The 2022 Honda HR-V are BR-V are equipped with more safety gadgets, among which are six airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, stability control, agile handling assist, hill start assist, hill descent control, emergency stop signal, parking sensors, reverse camera, and Honda LaneWatch.

All variants of the 2022 Honda HR-V — including the recently-unveiled HR-V RS — come standard with Honda Sensing.

The HR-V RS features an all-new, sportier exterior and interior design. Its exterior is designed with a Sporty Chrome Front Grille and RS Emblem with Red Amp up Logo on the lower bumper. It is also fitted with 18-inch RS Design Gray alloy wheels and LED sequential turn signal. Its looks is also enhanced by a side sill garnish with chrome, paired up with side sill garnish glossy black.

Inside, the HR-V RS is equipped with sport pedals, shift knobs, and leather interior with red stitching. Its Variable Gear Ratio enables smoother steering and improved responsiveness and stability. The HR-V RS is also equipped with an eight-speaker sound system, auto up/down power window for driver and front passenger, eight-way power driver seat, and dual-zone climate control air conditioning.

The ULT seats and additional storage space add to the convenience delivered by the HR-V RS.

The HR-V RS is powered by a 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo engine that produces 177ps and 240Nm of torque. The engines mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The HR-V RS offers three driving modes: Econ, Normal, and Sport.

The brand-new BR-V, on the other hand, has a sleek, chiseled appearance and wider dimensions that appeal to Filipino buyers more. Additionally, it has modernized safety features that are cost-effective.

The BR-V has become one of Honda Philippines' best-selling vehicles since it entered the country in 2016. It has earned a reputation for being the most potent vehicle in its class and for having enough room for up to seven people.
