2nd National Ferrari Owners’ Day to happen in June

MANILA: The second National Ferrari Owners' Day (NFOD) will be held at Sywell Aerodrome in England on June 4, in honor of the Ferrari Owners' Club's 55th anniversary and Ferrari's 75th anniversary, with a focus on presenting some of the most distinctive and iconic Italian sports cars.

Over 600 Ferraris and approximately 1,700 spectators attended last year's inaugural event at Sywell, which was a celebration of all things Cavallino Rampante. With an even greater range of activities, hospitality, and amenities previously restricted by COVID-19 regulations, this year's NFOD intends to build on the success of the 2021 launch.

Special attention has been put on gathering cars from Ferrari's early history, some of which have not been shown at a National FOC event in several years. The 166MM and 212 Export open-cockpit sports cars, numerous 250 V12s, compact Dino, and the sleek, muscular 365 GTB/4 Daytona are all expected to be present.

The Superformance Runway Speed Experience, which lets drivers put their foot to the floor and experience the excitement of flat-out runs in a controlled setting on Sywell's 1,200-meter runway, has received over 75 registrations. This year, they will be complemented with motorsport demonstration runs, which will feature race cars from today as well as Ferrari's 75-year history in a stunning display of sight and sound.

Ferrari North Europe, with the support of Official Ferrari Dealer Graypaul Nottingham, will also offer test drives and previews of the newest models, including the newly released Ferrari 296GTB, as well as an expanded range of casual food and drink options throughout the aerodrome, and specific hospitality packages for the first time in the Charles Stanley Driver's Club. As part of the FOC Exhibitors' Village, Club Partners and other lifestyle brands will also be present.

Attendees can show off their pride and joy in the Meguiars' Pride of Ownership competition, which is not a concours but rather an opportunity for owners who keep their cars in outstanding condition to vie for the Meguiars' Trophy. The winner of the competition will also get a "Day in the Bay," where they will spend a day learning the exquisite art of vehicle detailing from Meguiars' UK experts.

In Hanger One, Silverstone Auctions will be staging a best-of-breed Ferrari sale, with lots expected from all around the UK and Europe. A 1960 250 GT with factory development lineage and a 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB, acquired as an official demonstrator by original UK importer Maranello Concessionaires and the subject of several contemporary road test reports, are among the highlights.

Given Sywell's illustrious aviation past, there's even the chance to fly, through a limited number of two-seat Spitfire and Tiger Moth warbird flights available. Warbirds will also soar to the sky during the day's program for a magnificent air display in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

I’m delighted that after the disruption of the last two summers, we will be able this year to properly celebrate Ferrari’s 75th birthday in style, and I welcome all owners — regardless of model — to join us at Sywell in June to build on the 600-car milestone we set last summer,” Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain Chairman Christian Mineeff stated.

Members of the Ferrari Owners' Club of Great Britain can get free tickets, while non-member Ferrari owners will pay £25 per car. The event is also made possible by Pirelli, Ferrari Financial Services, Charles Stanley Wealth Managers, Lockton, Silverstone Auctions, Meguiar's, Chartwell, and Superformance.
