MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) held its first global premier in the country with the unveiling of the DST Concept at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

The midsize sport utility vehicle shall be rolled out by fiscal year 2025 (April 2025-March 2026).According to MMPC President Ritsu Imaeda, the unveiling was held locally as the global marque considers the Philippines as among its focus markets in the region.
To serve as a new addition the brand’s lineup in the ASEAN region — joining the likes of the Pajero Sport (known locally as the Montero Sport), Xforce, alongside the Xpander and Xpander Cross — the vehicle’s production version shall be rolled out primarily in Southeast Asian markets within the April 2025-March 2026 timeline.
“The Mitsubishi DST Concept is an embodiment of an all-new three-row SUV to be launched during our current mid-term business plan Challenge 2025, and the production vehicle will be rolled out primarily in the ASEAN region including the Philippines starting in fiscal year 2025,” Mitsubishi Motors President and Chief Executive Officer Takao Kato said.
Kato expressed firm belief that once the new product commences sales, it will follow in the footsteps of the Xpander and Xforce that enjoy a strong following around the world.
“With the aim of making it a global strategic vehicle, we will further develop it as a distinctively Mitsubishi SUV that expands our customers’ range of mobility,” he added.

Specifications
The Mitsubishi DST Concept will be a midsize monocoque sport utility vehicle that has a three three-row seating configuration with a refined SUV design that drivers and their families or companions would appreciate.
Created under the “Gravitas and Dynamism” design concept, the Mitsubishi DST Concept features the signature Dynamic Shield fascia flanked by T-shape lamps— similar to that of the Xpander and Xforce.
The vehicle also wears blacked-out pillars, wraparound windows, sculpted fender flares, large-diameter tires, high ground clearance, as well as side protectors and large skid plates in the front and rear that exudes its athletic persona.
Inside, the Mitsubishi DST Concept boasts a roomy and sophisticated cabin.
The instrument panel is wrapped in soft, upscale material interlinked with the door trim in a dynamic shape. It holds a large display panel that integrates a full LCD gauge cluster and an infotainment system. Atop the vehicle is a panoramic sunroof.
To complement the vehicle’s high ground clearance, the Mitsubishi DST Concept’s powertrain (which has yet to be revealed as of the time of publishing), the front-wheel-drive offering will have five drive modes namely Wet, Tarmac, Normal, Gravel, and Mud.
