Another seasoned exec joins Astara PH

MANILA: Astara Philippines got another season executive in the local automotive industry to lead one of the brands that it is carrying.

Effective since March 22, Tonette Lee serves as the new brand head for JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company Limited) Motors Philippines — whose distributorship acquisition was announced last February.

Under Lee’s belt is more than three decades of experience. She has a deep knowledge in leading marketing and sales functions and was instrumental in acquisitions and launches of emerging automotive brands in the country. 

She also led dealership development initiatives for several distributors. According to Astara Philippines, Lee’s leadership is “characterized by the implementation of modern and aggressive marketing strategies, cementing her reputation as a dynamic force in the automotive sector.”

Prior to joining JAC Motors Philippines, Lee was the marketing and sales director for Luxuriant Automotive Group — Great Wall Motor’s local arm.

With her latest role as brand head, Lee will oversee business operation strategies and brand initiatives for JAC.

Her appointment is also considered to be crucial and timely as the marque readies for the upcoming Manila International Auto Show 2024.
