Arriving new Honda City Hatchback in PH to be offered with slight price bump

The Honda City Hatchback’s spruced-up version shall have slight price bump.

Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) revealed that the Philippine-bound model will have an image price of P1.194 million. The announcement was made shortly after the firm has opened the reservation books for the model.

To recall, the outgoing iteration is priced at P1.153 million.

According to the Japanese automaker’s distributor’s arm in the country, the new Honda City Hatchback — which will be formally introduced on June 14, will have an updated design and improved technologies compared to the outgoing iteration.

The new Honda City Hatchback, the company noted, will feature a new body kit for its top-tier variant.

Aside from that, the car shall be equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen display audio with Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Safety-wise, the new City Hatchback shall be outfitted with Honda Sensing system that adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, and lead car departure notification.

The arriving model, HCPI shared, will be retailed in five color options led by the new hue Sonic Gray Pearl (available in neighboring country Thailand), alongside Platinum White Pearl, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic.

In terms of performance, the new City Hatchback will likely be slapped with the same 1.5-liter, in-line four-cylinder, double overhead cam i-VTEC mill paired with a continuously variable transmission.

HCPI reiterated that those who will reserve a unit from today (May 14) up to June 13 will have the P5,000 reservation fee waived.
