As more Pinoys take to the road, Prestone promotes Asian Vehicles coolant line, disinfecting wipes

MANILA: Prestone Philippines is marketing its line of coolant and vehicle interior disinfectant products as more motorists are taking to the road following more relaxed quarantine restrictions.

"Since more people now travel for work, taking out-of-town trips, and mall shopping a few weeks before the holidays, it also means heavier traffic and road mishaps along the way," Prestone Philippines noted in a release.

The automotive fluids brand is showcasing its line of Prestone Asian Vehicles Antifreeze + Coolant.

Designed for new or old Asian vehicles, the Prestone Antifreeze is said to maintain an engine's temperature and prevents it from freezing. The product is also promised to avoid buildups and corrosion in a vehicle’s parts.

It is available in three variants: Asian Red, Asian Blue, and Asian Green. With various fluid technologies (Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT), Organic Acid Technology (OAT), and Phosphate Organic Acid Technology (POAT) formulas), Prestone said its Antifreeze can work on any vehicle make and model. 

For vehicle disinfecting, Prestone has designed its Car Disinfecting Wipes to kill bacteria by wiping the car’s interior surface.

The Disinfecting Wipes are claimed to "kill 99.9% of viruses, including the COVID-19 virus and other bacteria in a minute." The product can be applied on the dashboard, console, steering wheel, window buttons, door handles, and gear stick, among others.

Prestone is encouraging motorists to buy the Asian Vehicles Antifreeze + Coolant and Prestone Disinfecting Car Wipes from reputable stores and distributors. 

“Counterfeit items lead to car damage and severe road accidents as the worst," Prestone Philippines Marketing Director Paolo Lao said. 

"That is why we advise our customers to authenticate their Prestone items by buying from reputable stores, keeping caution on lower prices and deals, and by checking for PS mark or ICC stickers issued by the Bureau of Product Standards of the Philippines,” he added.

The brand is also advising motorists to create a "BLOCBAGETS" checklist, which consist of the Brake fluid, Lights, Oil, Coolant, Battery, Air, Gas, Engine, Tires, and Self. 

"Self (makes sure that drivers) are well and good to drive,” Lao said.
