Aston Martin, Girard-Perregaux collab on latest timepiece

MANILA: Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux have unveiled the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition timepiece. 

Similar to an Aston Martin vehicle, the watch was envisioned to demand attention but, at the same time, “orchestrate human emotion.”

For its face, the new chronograph produced by Girard-Perregaux utilizes an iridescent version of the signature green shade of the British automotive marque. Its body, on the other hand, was hewn out of Grade Five titanium - a material that’s also utilized on the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar. 

“Whether we are designing a high-performance, ultra-luxury supercar or a timepiece with our partner Girard-Perregaux, creating a piece of mastery is at the core of our work and our creations. An Aston Martin is more than a car, it’s an expression of one’s personality, a passion - something that is often shared with the ownership of a watch,” Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin Marek Reichman said. 

To note, the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition timepiece is the sixth timepiece to have been born out of the partnership between the Swedish watchmaker and the British automaker. The two corporations have been working together since 2021.

Pricing for the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition starts at $22,700 or around P1.3 million at current exchange rates. It is now available in selected Girard-Perregaux retails worldwide, though only 188 examples will be sold.
