How much power does the new Aston Martin V-12 engine make?

While it is yet to be confirmed, Aston Martin could revive the Vanquish, which may sport the new powerplant.Per the British carmaker, the new V-12 powerplant can produce approximately 823 horsepower (hp) with some 1,000 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
The impressive numbers are due to some of the highlights offered by the new V-12 mill, which includes a strengthened cylinder block (and conrods), redesigned cylinder heads with reprofiled camshafts, as well as new intake and exhaust ports.
Additionally, Aston Martin repositioned the new engine’s spark plugs and gave it new higher flowrate fuel injectors for optimized combustion.
Further, new higher-speed, reduced-inertia turbochargers were used for increased performance and throttle response.
“The V-12 engine has long been a symbol of power and prestige, but it is also a statement of engineering passion and technical prowess. With 835PS (around 823 horses) and 1000 Nm of torque, this unparalleled engine represents nothing less than the dawn of a dazzling new V-12 era for Aston Martin,” Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli said.
According to the Gaydon-headquartered brand, it will be used on a new flagship model to debut later in 2024. No mention of what the said model would be but in the same press release announcing the V-12 engine, the marque wrote “All will be vanquished.”
On that note, we are led to believe that Aston Martin could possibly be reviving the Vanquish nameplate (photo shown above). The said model was first introduced in 2012 and saw production until 2016.
It had an all-alloy 5.9-liter V-12 engine with independent quad variable camshaft timing that dished out some 560 hp and achieved speeds of up to 323 kilometers per hour (kph). It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kph in about 3.6 seconds.
Looking at the numbers produced by Aston Martin’s new V-12 engine, the Vanquish — should the carmaker decide to bring it back from the dead — could exceed its previous power figures.
