“When an iconic model generation reaches the end of production, it is important to mark the occasion with something special. In the case of the DBS 770 Ultimate, we have spared nothing in ensuring the final version of our current series production flagship is the best-ever in every respect. Not only is it the fastest and most powerful DBS in our history, thanks to a comprehensive suite of improvements to the transmission, steering, suspension, and underbody structure, it is also the best to drive,” Aston Martin Chief Technology Officer Roberto Fedeli stated.
An aggressive version of Aston Martin's quad-cam 60-deg 5.2-liter V12 engine powers the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate. This benefits from redesigned air and ignition routes along with a 7% increase in maximum turbo boost pressure to produce 770ps at 6500rpm and a 900Nm of torque from 1,800rpm to 5,000rpm, pushing the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate to a top speed of 339kph. With an exhilarating combination of excellent response, great in-gear acceleration, and the authentic V12 soundtrack, precisely tuned power and torque curves offer the driver a sense of limitless potential.
The engine is mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. A special transmission calibration is also added to the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate to improve shift speeds and driver interaction and create a more responsive driving experience. The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate has the same 410mm x 38mm front discs and 360mm x 32mm rear discs as those installed on the DBS.
The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate features a new solid mounted steering column to further enhance the directness of the steering response and boost the level of detailed feedback, allowing the driver to enjoy a more precise connection with the road ahead, feel what the front tires are doing with confidence, and accurately measure available grip.
A final-edition model made to mark the end of an era, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate features an assertive and unique design to showcase a commanding presence and distinctive style.
“DBS has always sat at the pinnacle of the Aston Martin production model lineup and now, we’re infusing DBS 770 Ultimate with even more — more power, more performance purity, and all with more sophistication, more taste, and in the most considered manner. Something so raw and yet so beautiful, it’s almost intimidating to look at. It's through this design approach that we came up with the shapes — starting with the amped-up front end — and from there, everything else flows in design balance with the performance upgrades,” Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman said.
On the inside, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate features a variety of innovative design elements that distinguish it while maintaining the current DBS's instantly recognizable cabin environment. To mark its pinnacle status, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate includes Sports Plus Seats that are fully covered in semi-aniline leather and Alcantara and have a standard “fluted” patchwork and perforation pattern. Customers can also opt for the available Aston Martin performance seat. A custom strap and buckle badge with the laser-etched DBS 770 Ultimate logo located on the center armrest has been added, along with a bespoke trim split with contrast colors linked to the welt and stitching. The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate also comes standard with Carbon Fiber Gearshift.
The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate comes with an exclusive set of sill plaques that includes the Aston Martin Wings, the DBS 770 Ultimate logo, and Limited-Edition numbering designating the vehicle as one of only 300 Coupes or 199 Volantes.
Production of the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate will start within the first quarter of 2023, and first deliveries will begin in the third quarter of the year.
