Audi PH explains key ownership advantages for its RS customers
MANILA: Audi Philippines said it guarantees key ownership advantages on the 2022 RS 5 Sportback and RS Q3 Sportback, which only an official dealership can offer. The RS models produced by Audi Sport, Audi AG’s high-performance division, are exclusively serviced by experts trained at Audi headquarters in Germany, who use only OEM tools, factory-supplied equipment, and certified genuine parts.
Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive technology soared in the World Rally Championship in the 1980s, as seen on the iconic image of the Ur-Quattro rally car in mid-flight, and has improved since then. The latest quattro technology in the 2022 Audi RS 5 Sportback and Audi RS Q3 Sportback makes both models exhilarating and capable of conquering new heights.
The new Audi RS 5 Sportback and Audi RS Q3 Sportback are ensured to always perform in optimal condition, thanks to Audi Philippines’ access to the latest software updates and service bulletins, both of which are issued by Audi AG exclusively to authorized dealerships. Furthermore, as an authorized dealer, Audi Philippines backs the models with extensive warranties and complete and authentic documents that guarantee that the cars are certified and backed by proof that the correct amount of duties and taxes has been completely paid.
All of these enhance the ownership experience of the high-performance Audi RS models. The new Audi RS 5 Sportback features a host of new design accents and smart digital technologies, making it an even more dynamic all-rounder by combining outstanding pulling power and immense traction with daily-use practicality.
The Audi RS 5 Sportback’s design is defined by its wave-like shoulder line, RS Singleframe grille, air inlets, wide wheel arches, and precisely balanced proportions that arise from having a long hood and short overhangs—features that primarily characterized the Ur-Quattro. Meanwhile, the RS-specific bumper, lip spoiler, LED combination lamps, rear diffuser, and RS exhaust system have all been reworked to make the car look even sharper. The vehicle’s exterior look is further enhanced with the Black Optic trim package and 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels available in distinctive designs.
The RS 5 Sportback is powered by a 2.9-liter, twin-turbo V6 TFSI engine that generates 450hp and 600Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed sport-tuned tiptronic transmission which distributes the engine’s power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The RS sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control continuously counteracts the pitch and roll movements of the car’s body to keep it firmly planted on the road, especially during hard cornering.
Just like the 2022 RS 5 Sportback, the new Audi RS Q3 Sportback also combines great performance with practicality. The model’s RS DNA is shown off in its large Singleframe grille, RS front bumper with huge side air inlets and distinctive boomerang-shaped blades, flat slits near the hood, RS-specific roof edge spoiler, RS exhaust system with massive oval tailpipes, and RS-specific bumper with rear diffuser. Its flared wheels arches are reminiscent of the Ur-Quattro’s.
The RS Q3 Sportback also features Audi Sport’s legendary line of five-cylinder engines, which was also used in the Ur-Quattro. Its 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder TFSI engine churns out 400hp and 480Nm of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission which transmits the output to the quattro all-wheel drive system.
The suspension and performance characteristics of the new Audi RS 5 Sportback and Audi RS Q3 Sportback can be selected using Audi drive select, which offers comfort, auto, and dynamic settings, as well as the new RS1 and RS2 modes that can be individually configured, saved, and selected directly via the RS Mode button on the steering wheel.
