MANILA: Audi has presented its limited-edition enduro-style electric pedal assist mountain bike (eMTB) powered by Fantic.

The Audi eMTB can reach speeds of up to 32 kilometers per hour.Per German carmaker, the Audi eMTB is based on Fantic’s XEF 1.9 Factory enduro electric bike. The frame is made from lightweight aluminum and is said to have been designed to allow a relaxed riding position so riders can better react to obstacles and terrain.
It dons Mavic tubeless-ready wheels that measure 29 inches at the front and 27.5 inches at the rear. The mixed wheel size setup is said to be the best for rollover and tight cornering. They are shod in Vittoria e-bike-rated off-road tires.
The Audi eMTB is also equipped with fully adjustable suspension components, namely an air-sprung Öhlins RXF38 front fork and a coil-sprung Öhlins TTX22 rear shock.
Shifting duties for the 1x12 drivetrain are carried out by a SRAM’GX rear derailleur and bar-mounted shifter, working across an 11-51-tooth rear cassette. Stopping power comes from a set of Sunstar Braking F.I.R.S.T. calipers and S3 Batfly rotors that measure 220 millimeters (mm at the front and 203 mm at the rear.
At the heart of Audi’s eMTB is a 720-watt-hour, 36-volt lithium-ion battery pack. It has an estimated battery range of 150 kilometers. It allows for speeds of 32 kilometers per hour. Available riding modes include Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost.
