Audi Q2 Crossover Teaser Presented Earlier than Expected, Out Of Geneva Motor Show

MANILA: With the commencement of New Year and various motor shows rolling in, Audi also joined the bandwagon to come up with something new. It is anticipated that the Audi Q2 is expected to make an appearance at the Geneva Auto Show 2016, however it surprised us with its teaser released much earlier. This Q2 crossover also made a noise about its arrival confirmation in the year that passed by. It was reported that this car gave a resemblance of a compact crossover that is said be based on VW MQB platform. Q5 will also join hands with Q2 to show its first look that is been promised this year. The Q2 and Q5 models come out with flying colors when they were on tests on various grilling parameters. The Audi Crossover 2016 is predicted to be accessible in both petrol and diesel variants.

It has been assumed that the teaser image has dropped hints about Q2 been invisible in the picture, yet can make an entry soon. The engine displacement of the Q2 is believed to be in the range of 1.4 to 2.0-litre.

This image has been floated across the Internet, counting on major social media platforms. It displays Audi creations Q3, Q5 and Q7 in the parking space. This teaser is said to have declared the introduction of the Q2 under the Q-arsenal section. Models namely Q8 and Q6 are speculated to join this bracket soon in the near future, thus giving a wider choice to the customer base.

It is interesting to note that Audi is endeavoring to make its presence felt globally, this can be said owing to its new offerings at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. This German automaker had put Audi Prologue Concept on show at this India based motor event. In this perspective it showed off the lightweight feature, style statement and Quattro all-wheel drive and redecorated exterior appearance of the model. Having been equipped with a 4.0-litre TFSI engine that produced a maximum power of 605 bhp along with a peak torque of 753 Nm. In addition, the said mill is paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Prior to this the All Road Quattro was displayed at the North American International Auto Show.

There hasn't been much information disclosed to draw conclusions from, yet the mystery of Q2 existence is expected to be revealed soon. It is further speculated that it will be put under the sales section by the end of this year after being officially launched. Way back in the year 2013, it was made official that Q2 is under the production process. The car is now finally coming to its destination after going through certain design and other necessary transformations. Additionally, with respect to the measurements Q2 is presumed to be slightly compact in comparison with the Q3 model. Q2 will also follow the digital dashboard technology that is present in the models like TT, A4 and Q7. It will further endeavor to have a high placed seating arrangement that is mostly available in the SUV's.

The Philippines automotive market will certainly await this compact yet premium crossover with utmost enthusiasm. The youth may have an adrenaline rush as it is hoped to be a premium model with probabilistic view with relatively lesser price tag.
