Audi Sport arrivals continue with RS Q8

MANILA: Audi Philippines recently brought in the most powerful sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the Q lineup of Audi Sport, the all-new 2021 Audi RS Q8.

This dynamic vehicle uses a 4.0-liter, twin turbo-charged TFSI V8 engine that delivers a power output of 600hp and torque of 800Nm between 2,200 rpm and 4,500 rpm. It is paired to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission. The 2021 RS Q8 can accelerate from standstill to 100kph in only 3.8 seconds and to 200kph in just 13.7 seconds. The SUV’s lap time in the iconic Nürburgring race track is record-breaking at seven minutes and 42 seconds, which is now considered as the fastest lap time for production SUVs.

The 4.0 TFSI V8 engine is powered by mild-hybrid and cylinder-on-demand systems that help maintain the vehicle’s fuel efficiency despite its great performance on the road.

The all-new RS Q8 has an RS adaptive air suspension with controlled damping that can be coordinated for dynamic handling, without affecting the vehicle’s smooth performance. Audi Sport’s Quattro all-wheel drive system is also being used in this new RS model. Apart from this, the vehicle is also equipped with RS ceramic brakes and the RS sport exhaust.

The RS Q8 exhibits a striking exterior look with its Singleframe specially designed radiator grille, side air inlets and accents, HD Matrix headlamps, wide quattro blisters, RS roof-edge spoiler with diffuser clip, and 23-inch sport alloy wheels.

The 2021 RS Q8’s Audi virtual cockpit and multimedia interface (MMI) system feature RS-exclusive graphics and shift light. The sporty-designed seats are garnished with RS emblems. The luxurious interior is highlighted by the illuminated door sill trim and flat-bottom leather steering wheel. Adding to the vehicle’s deluxe features are the air quality package, massage functions on seats, a top-quality B&O audio system, carbon fiber trim, an increased leather package, and soft-closing doors. Aside from these, the RS Q8 is also equipped with a sweeping range of more than 30 assist systems.

The 2021 Audi RS Q8 is now available at any Audi showroom nationwide.

Since the Audi Sport has been officially launched in the Philippines, more RS models are expected to arrive in the country within this year. Included in the list is the highly anticipated R8 supercar.
