BAIC PH to launch B30e Dune

MANILA: BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group Company Limited) Philippines is set to launch its latest offering in the country — the B30e Dune.

Based on the invitation sent to Zigwheels Philippines, the electrified sport utility vehicle will be revealed on September 19.

While waiting for the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated-led distributor to share pertinent information, below are some of the possible specifications that the local customers can expect from the upcoming offering.

Wearing the BJ30 nameplate in its home country, the vehicle had its global launch at the Beijing Auto Show 2024.

Expected to be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor, the BAIC B30e Dune can reportedly reach 100 kilometers per hour from standstill in six seconds and a combined consumption of 15.5 kilometers per liter.

The vehicle’s electric four-wheel drive system responds in less than a second — assuring seamless switching between two-wheel and four-wheel drive modes.

It comes with a bold fascia, short overhangs, and a tall ground clearance, making it an ideal off-road option.

Dubbed the “King of Value for Money in the Wild”, the BAIC B30’s domestic price is below P1 million.
