BAIC ready to showcase 5-car lineup at MIAS 2024

MANILA: After being previewed a few weeks back, BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company Limited) Philippines shall reveal to the public its lineup at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show 2024.

Below are the five models that will comprise the relaunched Chinese automotive brand and showcased at the World Trade Center from April 4-7.

The BAIC X55 Verve boasts a myriad of driver assistive features including traffic jam assist and automatic parking assist, as well as hands-free power tailgate. Moving the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that has a peak churn of 188 horsepower (hp) and 305 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.

Similarly packed as the aforementioned model is the X7 Grandeza that offers a more spacious cabin and is outfitted with luxurious appointments such as heated and ventilated ottoman seats with a massage function.

Meanwhile, the BAIC Series 40 Ragnar SUV is equipped with a 2.0-liter Aucan turbo diesel engine that can provide as much as 380 Nm mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission and a BorgWarner four-wheel drive system. It also comes with a built-in camera mounted on the digital rear view mirror and removable roof panels.

BAIC B60 Beaumont is five meters long and is outfitted with a 2.0-liter diesel hybrid engine (the first of its kind in the country) mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The behemoth comes with nine drive modes, and an array of driver assistive technologies.

Inside its cabin are the four-screen infotainment integration, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.8-inch infotainment screen matched to a 12+1 Infinity speaker system, smartphone mirroring, wireless charging, digital rear view mirror with integrated recording camera, WIFI hotspot, 220-volt power supply, 540-degree panoramic and undercarriage camera, and a panoramic electronically-adjusted sunroof.

Lastly, the BAIC Series 80 Wagon is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged gasoline mill that can dish out 280 hp and 420 Nm and is Mated to a ZF gearbox and electronic four-wheel drive system. It also is designed with a 39-degree approach angle, 25-degree ramp angle, and 33-degree departure angle.

Its interior is mainly covered with nappa leather and is surrounded by a powerful sound system with built-in subwoofer.

Meanwhile, BAIC Philippines invites the public to visit its booth and the UAAGI Performance Center to see the offerings at the four-day exhibit.
