Bike-friendly Bonifacio High Street recognized in first Mobility Awards
MANILA: Bonifacio High Street was recently recognized as one of the Most Bike-Friendly Commercial Establishments (Silver) in the first Mobility Awards due to its efforts to maintain a bike-friendly city.
The Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, MNL Move, the Climate Reality Project Philippines, and 350 Pilipinas introduced the Mobility Awards last September 2020.
As part of its promise to offer new-normal solutions and become a personal mobility device (PMD) friendly community, Bonifacio Global City (BGC) took the initiative in guaranteeing that "BGCitizens" can conveniently move within its premises. It extended its existing 9.5 km bike lanes by another 3.65 km, which includes 26th Street, 29th Street, 1st Avenue, 2nd Avenue, and Burgos Circle.
Apart from this, BGC has also positioned new bike racks in 20 locations within the city. With these initiatives, BGC has a goal of establishing a more convenient, conducive, and safer environment for its BGCitizens and more.
More details and updates can be found on the official Facebook page of BGC here.
