Blaze breaks out in Toyota Global City showroom
MANILA: Ash and smoke bellowed over a few blocks of the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) as one of Toyota Motors Philippines' largest showrooms, Toyota Global City on 38th Street and 11th Avenue, caught fire Thursday morning.
Alarms first sounded at 10:30 a.m. and the blaze grew to a third-alarm at around 10:50 a.m. Netizens were quick to take to social media to upload images and video of the event.
The Bureau of Fire Protection declared the fire out at 11:33 a.m.
Toyota Global City promptly posted on its social media platforms to commend and thank the swift action of the brave men and women of the Taguig Fire Department and announced that the premises would remain closed until at least April 30 to ensure safety.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain under investigation but thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
