Organizations' overall sales show 9% rise
MANILA: The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) collectively sold 352,971 units in the first 10 months of 2024.

CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez attributed the figures to “good sales and good stock availability — neutralizing the effect of the typhoon Kristine on the operations of dealers nationwide last month.”
Sales per category
Commercial vehicles continue to drive the groups’ sales performance, retailing 283,501 vehicles in January-October 2024 — cornering 73.77 percent share of the market. It is 7.8 percent more than the 262,875 examples sold over the same timeline under the previous year.
On the other hand, models under the passenger car category sold 100,809 vehicles — showing an almost 12-percent growth compared to January-October 2023’s 90,096-unit sales turnout.
Top 10 brands for Jan.-Oct. 2024
Toyota Motor Philippines remains the best-selling automotive marque in the country, holding 46.43 percent of the market with its 178,421-unit sales performance. In second place is Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation with 73,376 vehicles handed over to buyers (19.09-percent market share).
Keeping the third place is Ford Motor Philippines with 23,505 units sold (6.12 percent) while Nissan Philippines is at the fourth spot with 22,289 (5.80 percent)
Securing the fifth position is Suzuki Philippines by cornering 4.36-percent market share with its 16,762 units retailed.
Sixth, seventh, and eighth spots were taken by Isuzu Philippines Corporation (14,134 units sold, 3.72-percent overall market share), Honda Cars Philippines (12,807 vehicles retailed, 3.33 percent), and Hyundai Motor Philippines (9,690 examples, 2.52-percent).
Rounding up the list are SAIC Motors Philippines (distributor of MG vehicles locally) at ninth with 7,393 units rolled out to clients (1.92 percent), and the Ayala-led KP Motors Corporation (Kia) with 5,165 vehicles sold (1.34 percent).
