CAMPI-TMA sells 265k units in Jan.-Jul. 2024
Retail performance shows 11%-growth
MANILA: The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) sold 265,610 vehicles in the first seven months of 2024.

Commercial vehicles continue to hold the majority of the vehicle sales for January-July 2024, handing over 194,812 units in the said period — cornering 73.35-percent share of the market. Such sales output is 8.7-percent higher when compared to 179,144 vehicles sold in the said period the previous year.
On the other hand, passenger cars had a 70,798-vehicle sales performance in the first seven months of the year — showing a 17.3-percent jump from the 60,357-unit output under the same duration in 2023.
CAMPI President Rommel Gutierrez attributed the positive numbers to new product launches, improved product offerings, good sales momentum, as well as supply availability that “helped neutralize the impact of Typhoon Carina, especially towards the latter part of July.”
Maintaining its position as the leading local automotive distributor is Toyota Motor Philippines with 122,730 units released to clients (46.21-percent share), followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation with 50,599 examples sold (19.05 percent).
Taking the third spot is Ford Philippines with 16,817 units (6.33-percent). Trailing the Blue Oval marque is Nissan Philippines Incorporated with 15,819 units (5.96 percent), and Suzuki Philippines with 11,499 units (4.33 percent).
