Changan Auto PH opens new dealership in Cagayan de Oro

MANILA: Changan Auto Philippines has officially opened its latest dealership in Cagayan de Oro City (CDO). 

To note, Changan Auto CDO is the brand’s second outlet on the island of Mindanao. It is also the fourth of the brand’s six strategic locations planned for the Visayas-Mindanao region. 

Operated in partnership with the Cebu-based Global Star Motor Corporation (GSMC), the facility counts as one of the car company’s largest facilities outside of Meto Manila. In total, it spans 92,505 square feet, and it is able to support the service and aftersales needs of clients in CDO and in nearby areas. 

“We are excited to bring the Changan Auto experience closer to the people of Cagayan de Oro. This partnership with Global Star Motors further strengthens our position in the Visayas and Mindanao regions where we see a big growth potential in the automotive industry,” General Manager of Changan Auto Philippines Maricar Parco said. 

Per the Chinese automotive brand’s local arm, it will continue to expand its presence in the country following the opening of Changan Auto CDO. Its upcoming outlets include one in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, which will open its doors this month. Another is an upcoming dealership in Davao City, which will start welcoming customers in November 2024. 

Currently, Changan Auto Philippines’ lineup of vehicles includes the Alvsin, CS15, CS35 Plus, CS55 Plus, Unit-T, Uni-K, and the X7 Plus. 

At the upcoming 9th Philippine International Motor Show, the brand will be introducing a new pick-up truck model, which could be the Hunter REEV (range-extended electric vehicle). The aforementioned speculation comes after a teaser posted by the marque on its official Facebook page.
