Changan expands footprint in PH, opens Dumaguete dealership

MANILA: Changan Philippines is bolstering its presence in the country as it recently inaugurated a new dealership — this time, in Dumaguete City.

Located along National Road in Sibulan, the newly-opened Changan Dumaguete is managed by Global Star Motors Corporation (GSMC) — forging a stronger partnership between the two firms.

To note, Changan Dumaguete is the fourth dealership under the Cebu City-based dealer network organization with the brand that opened this year, and the Chinese marque’s fifth within the Visayas-Mindanao region.

In a statement, the Inchcape Philippines-led automotive distributor noted that inauguration rites — which took place last October — coincided with the automaker’s first year of operations.

“This milestone signifies the brand’s unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality products, world-class customer service, and innovative mobility solutions to Filipinos nationwide, particularly in Dumaguete,” the company added.

The 220-square meter Changan dealership showroom allowed the distributor and its dealer-partner to offer its seven-vehicle lineup in the area as well as to its neighboring towns.

The inauguration last October was attended by company executives and local leaders led by GSMC’s Kenneth Huan, (executive vice president and treasurer) and Ritchell Selma (chief operating officer); Archie Nanalabe (Changan Auto Dumaguete branch manager); alongside Hans Villamor (Changan Auto at Global Star Motors Group Sales and marketing manager).
