Changan PH establishes National Headquarters in Laguna

MANILA: The establishment of the CMPI National Headquarters in Calamba City, Laguna strengthens the position of Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) in the local auto industry.

Situated within the Auto Resources Center (ARC), the CMPI National Headquarters sets the standards for the Changan business in the Philippines and observes the global corporate identity of Changan International Corporation (CIC).

It will also serve as the premier showcase and training hub for the brand’s dealership facilities and operations in the Philippines. To cater to Changan’s future line of Electric Vehicles, the first Changan EV charging station is operational at the CMPI National Headquarters.

Key leaders from Changan International Corporation and CMPI, the brand's nationwide dealerships, as well as Changan partner institutions from the banking and media, were present for the inauguration of the headquarters.

“Today, we open our doors for the Filipino to fully experience Changan’s ‘Lasting Safety,’ not only in terms of our product and service offerings, but also in the way we look after the interests of our stakeholders — customers, employees, and neighboring communities whom we intend to reach out to in terms of opening new job opportunities and meaningful corporate social responsibility initiatives,” said CMPI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.

“It is indeed a privilege to experience the Philippines as one of the newest and most promising markets of the Changan brand,” said CIC Sales Director Arieson Zhang. “With the recent launch of the New Changan CS55 Plus in the Philippines and the rise of the headquarters of Changan Philippines plus the entry of more new models to this country, we trust that Changan will carve its own niche in the Philippine auto industry.”

The CMPI National Headquarters in Calamba, Laguna, stands on more than 2,300 square meters of space within the ground-breaking 20-hectare green automotive complex of the Auto Resources Center (ARC), concretizing Changan's mission of excellence as a worldwide automaker.

The corporate office is a 3S (sales, service, spare parts) facility, reflecting the brand's excellence in serving motorists and its dedication to long-lasting safety.

Visitors are immediately welcomed by an attractive showroom with a huge brand wall, reception, and 24-meter wide façade. The showroom has a six-meter high ceiling. Up to nine vehicle displays can fit in its enormous 288 square meters of space, leaving adequate room for guests to explore Changan's attractive vehicles.

To accommodate service needs, a dedicated service reception room is offered. The 1,245 square meters of general job work bays, an electric vehicle charging station, and body repair work bays with a painting booth and support rooms make up the primary service workshop and service extension building.

The building also houses the Changan Philippines offices and training facilities, set to embody the brand’s world-class operations in Sales, After-sales, and Customer Relations.

Within the headquarters complex is the expansive service area, boasting of the complete lineup of Changan’s Vital 5 Plus service offerings: five-year or 100,000 mileage warranty, Pace-setter Towing Service Mobile initiative, Fastlane 60-minute service guarantee, Veloservice Service Appointment Booking, and the Changan Artificial Intelligence Agent or CAIA.

The main service and parts area occupies 336 square meters of space that opens to two work bays for general job or quick service, including an electric vehicle charging station, wheel alignment, support rooms (assembly garage, tool room, oil warehouse, air compressor and gen-set), and parts warehouse.

Moving further to the service workshop extension, a total of 961 square meters are dedicated to four general job work bays, body repair work bays, painting booths, wash bays, support rooms and offices for Changan service experts and technicians.

Recently, Changan Motor Philippines Inc unveiled to the local market the 2022 Changan CS55. The compact crossover SUV is known in the motoring world for its cutting-edge design, and more than that, it flaunts the carmaker's signature “ring shape” design.

Coinciding with the establishment of the brand’s headquarters is the launch of the 2023 Changan Uni-K and Uni-T crossovers.

Changan International Corporation counts 160 years as a leading Chinese auto brand, one of the world’s top 15 automakers, and poised to be a dominant player in the new energy vehicle (NEV) and autonomous driving market by 2025. Known to dedicate five-percent of its annual sales to research and development (R&D), CIC recently announced a $12.55 billion priority investment on NEVs by the end of 2025 with projected sales of 1.5 million electric cars and plug-in hybrids or some 35% of the company’s total sales for that year.
