Changes and tweaks mark 2021 Suzuki Dzire
Suzuki recently unveiled the new iteration of its budget-friendly subcompact, the Suzuki Dzire.
In 2013, the sedan was first launched in the country as the Suzuki Swift Dzire which shared the same nameplate with its hatch counterpart. Now that it has been upgraded to carry more advanced and innovative features, the Dzire dropped the “Swift” in its name as it started to create its own character.
The 2021 Suzuki Dzire is introduced with additional features, yet it’s still positioned within the same price range as the previous version. The new Dzire now offers enhanced safety, convenience, and comfort to the both the driver and the passengers.
Under the new Dzire’s hood is a 1.2-liter engine that is mated to Suzuki’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS). This automated manual transmission combines the convenience provided by an automatic transmission and the control and fuel efficiency that is given by a manual transmission.
Suzuki has always prioritized occupant safety that is why the Dzire comes with dual airbags and an electric fold and adjust outside door mirror. The new Dzire is constructed with Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Energy (TECT) concept, which is developed to minimize the impact and damage in the event of a collision. To further enhance its occupant protection, the Suzuki Dzire is equipped with state-of-the-art safety technologies such as reverse parking sensors and hill hold control. The latest Dzire edition also carries an additional safety feature, the electronic stability program (ESP).
The 2021 Dzire has upgraded its exterior look with a new chrome grille and bumper, while still carrying a bold outside structure highlighted by its sharp lines, stylish chrome embellishments, and alloy wheels.
Suzuki has maintained the ample interior space of the Dzire. The sedan still provides several convenient cabin compartments and a spacious trunk space that can accommodate up to 378 liters. The Suzuki Dzire features a front console box, glove box, cup holders, and front and rear door pockets. The new Dzire gets a seven-inch infotainment system with AM/FM radio, GPS navigation, and USB and Bluetooth connectivity. Additional cabin convenience features include a 12V accessory socket and rear aircon vents.
The Suzuki Dzire now comes in only two variants: the Suzuki Dzire GL MT and the Suzuki Dzire GL Plus AGS. Pricing starts at P648,000.
