Chery Auto PH celebrates 5th anniversary

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) is currently celebrating its fifth anniversary.

In a statement, the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI)-led automotive distributor shared that the brand has "evolved into a local key industry player" since it made its comeback in 2019.

Further, the company noted that its eyeing to boost its presence in the local automotive scene.

Below are CAP’s major milestones.

2019

Since it started its journey under UAAGI, the company has already introduced Premium Preserv Warranty Program, which offers a five-year or 150,000-kilometer (km) vehicle warranty, three years of free preventive maintenance service, and 24/7 roadside assistance.

This initiative made it easier for clients to maintain their vehicles.

2020

Aside from that, CAP also brought in the EC (Easy and Convenient) Mobile Service Program in 2020 that is aimed at giving clients access to services no matter where they are.

In the same year, CAP welcomed the Chery Tiggo Crossovers volleyball team to its family, which immediately won the 2021 Philippine Volleyball League Open Conference title.

2021

The company not just expanded its initiatives but also local offerings as in 2021, it brought into the fray the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 2 Pro.

2022

Their move to further widen the lineup continued in 2022 as CAP launched the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 Turbo and Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) at the Manila International Auto Show.

2023

In 2023, CAP fortified its management team by having seasoned industry veteran Froilan Dytianquin to its roster together with a new management team. At the same time, the firm ushered in a "New Era of Growth" by having the Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid and Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid models — rounding up the marque’s the brand's "Pro" lineup.

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), alongside its first full-electric vehicles, the eQ1 and eQ7 were also previewed on the said year, specifically at the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

 

Corporate social responsibility thrusts were not left on the backburner as in 2023, CAP also had the Chery Cares Program, which provided support to communities through feeding programs.

2024

This year, CAP officially added the New 2025 Tiggo 2 Pro to its lineup and by revealing it at the Philippine International Motor Show — alongside the sneak preview of the refreshed Tiggo 5X Pro.

Moreover, the firm bolstered its presence as CAP already has 24 dealerships by the initial half of the year.

Now carrying a new tagline dubbed “There’s More to Our Cars,” the company is committed to continue exceeding customer expectations.
