The models that boosted Chery Auto Philippines' sales were the Tiggo 5, 7, and 8.The aforementioned performance also helped the Chinese automaker’s local distributor corner 1.2-percent share in the local passenger vehicle segment.
“This previous year was a challenge for the automotive industry as the competition became tougher with more and more players, especially China brands coming in. We attribute our success last year to the attractive sales and marketing promotions, flexible financing offers extended by our bank partners and the increasing confidence of the market towards our vehicles and aftersales support,” Chery Auto Philippines Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin shared.
The company’s main sales driver for the year was the Chery Tiggo 5, rolling out a total of 1,851 examples to customers during the 12 months of the year — raking in a 169-percent increase year-on-year to 2022.
