Chery Auto PH records best-ever month in June

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines recorded a 140% increase in sales in June versus the previous month. It was the brand’s best monthly sales performance since it arrived in the Philippines in 2019.

In a statement, Chery Auto Philippines President Erroll Dueñas said, “We are thrilled by the continuous growth and popularity of the Chery brand in the challenging business climate. It’s a testament to the consumers’ awareness and acceptance of the solid value-for-money proposition that our Chery vehicles offer.”

Marketing initiatives like the two-leg media drives up and down Mount Samat in April and May, as well as the formation of the official mother club in June to establish a community of all Tiggo owners in the Philippines significantly contributed in Chery Auto Philippines' record sales figures in June. The brand's newly launched flagship, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, has also received a strong market response, further contributing to the sales surge.

“It’s not common that a flagship model becomes the best-seller for an automotive brand, but such was the compelling attraction of the tech-heavy and feature-laden Tiggo 8 Pro, which is available with a class-leading 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline direct-injection engine or as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle — they offer all the space, comfort, technology, luxury, and safety equipment of the prestigious German SUVs, but at a much more attainable price point,” Dueñas stated.

The sales figures of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro exceeded targets by 233% in June. The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro also surpassed targets by 140% and the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro exceeded targets by 109%.

“The strong demand for Chery vehicles is spurring us to work even harder in getting the brand’s value-for-money message across and getting more people behind the wheel of a Chery vehicle; we are only just seeing a fraction of the full potential of the brand,” Dueñas said.

The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro boasts a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) with 12 safety functions including Rear Cross-Traffic Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Door Opening Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Integrated Cruise Assist, Intelligent High-Beam Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Sign Recognition.

Chery Auto Philippines also kicked off “The World of Luxury Nationwide Roadshow” at SM Aura Premier last July 1 to 7. The next legs of the roadshow will happen at SM Megamall (July 14 to 20), Eastwood City (July 29 to August 3), Estancia (August 12 to 18), SM City North EDSA (August 25 to 31), and SM Mall of Asia (September 1 to 7). Chery will also bring the roadshow across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Every purchase of any Chery model also comes with Chery Premium Preserv, which includes a 10-year or one million-kilometer engine warranty, a five-year general warranty, free three-year full preventive maintenance service (PMS), and free three-year roadside assistance. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro gets an upgraded package with seven-year general warranty, free three-year full PMS, and free three-year roadside assistance.
